He Lives

                                                        He lives

Our Savior has risen from the grave, and He is in our world today; Look around and see His Hands of Mercy and His loving care. He leads us through the storms of life, and we have no need to despair. Someday He will come in person, and we will be singing eternal hallelujahs.

Lyrics by Alfred H. Ackley, arranged by Alfred H. Ackley

“I serve a risen Savior, He’s in the world today; I know that He is living, whatever men may say; I see His hand of Mercy, I hear His voice of cheer, and just the time I need Him He’s always near.

In all the world around me I see His loving care, and though my heart grows weary I never will despair; I know that He is leading through all the stormy blast, the day of His appearing will come at last.

Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian, lift up your voice and sing Eternal hallelujahs to Jesus Christ the King! The Hope of all who seek Him, the help of all who find, none other is so living, so good and kind.

He lives; He lives. Christ Jesus lives today! He walks with me and talks with me along life’s narrow way. He lives, He lives, salvation to impart! You ask me how I know He lives? He lives within my heart.

The Unveiled Christ

The Unveiled Christ

Mark 15:38 -39 “then the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. So, when the Centurion, who stood opposite Him, saw that He cried out like this and breathed His last, he said “Truly this Man was the Son of God.” Jesus Christ who died on the cross is now in heaven with His Father. He hears our prayers and expresses them to God. He is the true giver of Love.

Lyrics by N.B. Herrell, arranged by N.B. Herrell

“Once our blessed Christ of beauty was veiled off from human view; But through suffering, death and sorrow He has rent the veil in two.

Now He is with God the Father, interceding there for you; For He is the mighty conqueror since He rent the veil in two.

Holy angels bow before Him, men of earth give praises due; For He is the well beloved since He rent the veil in two.

Throughout time and endless ages, Heights and depths of love so true; He alone can be the giver since He rent the veil in two.

O behold the Man of sorrows; O behold Him in plain view; Lo! He is the mighty conqueror, since He rent the veil in two, Lo! He is the mighty conqueror since He rent the veil in two.

The Name of Jesus

                The Name of Jesus

The one name that should be on everyone’s lips is the name of Jesus. He should be our top priority and if He is, His name would be repeated. Not in a profane or derogatory way but as Love. Jesus is love. If you have ever experienced grief, then you know how sweet His name can be if you hold tight to Him. Praise His name daily and let the blessings flow.

Lyrics by W.C. Martin, arranged by Edmund S. Lorenz

“The name of Jesus is so sweet, I love its music to repeat; It makes my joys full and complete, the precious name of Jesus.

I love the name of Him whose heart knows all my griefs and bears a part, who bids all anxious fears depart, I love the name of Jesus.

The name I fondly love to hear, it never fails my heart to cheer, its music dries the falling tear; Exalt the name of Jesus.

No word of man can ever tell how sweet the name I love so well; Oh, let its praises ever swell, oh, praise the name of Jesus.

“Jesus”, oh, how sweet the name! “Jesus” every day the same; “Jesus”, let all saints proclaim its worthy praise forever.

The Great Physician

The Great Physician

Jesus is my Great Physician. I put my faith and trust in Him that He will heal me. If not on earth, He will heal me in heaven. There is nothing that comes upon me that God doesn’t provide an outcome. He promises that He will not give us any more than we can handle. Put your trust and faith in Him and watch Him work.

Lyrics by William Hunter, arranged by John H. Stockton

“The Great Physician now is near, the sympathizing Jesus; He speaks the drooping heart to cheer, Oh, hear the voice of Jesus.

Your many sins are all forgiven, Oh, hear the voice of Jesus; Go on your way in peace to heaven, and wear a crown with Jesus.

All glory to the dying Lamb! I now believe in Jesus; I love the blessed Savior’s name, I love the name of Jesus.

And when to that bright world above we rise to be with Jesus; We’ll sing around the throne of love, His name, the name of Jesus.

sweetest note in seraph song, sweetest name on mortal tongue; Sweetest carol ever sung, Jesus, blessed Jesus.

Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Hallelujah, What a Savior!

Jesus came to save us from our sins, He bore our sins on the cross, took our shame and guilt away. We were guilty and helpless, but He came with forgiveness and compassion. His death was accomplished so that we might live. Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Lyrics by Philip P. Bliss, arranged by Philip P. Bliss

“Man of sorrows, what a name for the Son of God who came, ruined sinners to reclaim! Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Bearing shame and scoffing rude. In my place condemned He stood; Sealed my pardon with His blood; Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Guilty, vile and helpless, we; Spotless lamb of God was He; Full atonement! Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Lifted up was He to die, “It is finished,” was the cry; Now in heaven exalted high; Hallelujah! What a Savior!

When He comes, our glorious King, all His ransomed, home to bring, then anew this song we’ll sing; Hallelujah! What a Savior!

The Lily of the Valley

The Lily of the Valley

You might have many friends, but you will never have a friend like Jesus. He’s the only one that can cleanse us and make us whole. He will comfort us in times of grief and take away all our sorrows. He gives us strength when we feel weak and He keeps us close by His power. He will never leave us or forsake us. If you don’t have a relationship with Jesus, you need to come to Him now.

Lyrics by Charles W. Fry, arranged by William S. Hays

“I have found a friend in Jesus, He’s everything to me, He’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul; The Lily of the Valley, in Him alone I see all I need to cleanse and make me fully whole. In sorrow He’s my comfort, in trouble He’s, my stay. He tells me every care on Him to roll.

He all my griefs has taken, and all my sorrows borne; In temptation He’s my strong and mighty tower; I have all for Him forsaken, and all my idols torn from my heart, and now He keeps me by His power, Though all the world forsake me, and satan tempt me sore, Through Jesus I shall safely reach the goal.

He will never, never leave me, nor yet forsake me here, while I live by faith and do His blessed will; A wall of fire about me, I’ve nothing now to fear, with His manna He my hungry soul shall fill. Then sweeping up to glory to see His blessed face, where rivers of delight shall ever roll: He’s the Lily of the Valley, the bright and morning star, He’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul.”

The Light of the World is Jesus

The Light of the World is Jesus

When a person walks into a pitch-dark room, there is no light. When the world is filled with sinners, there is no light. There is hope though, when we have Jesus,  He is the light that fills the darkness. Light always banishes darkness and Jesus takes away our sins. Turn on the light in a dark room and you get clarity. Turn on the light of Jesus in our life and we see purpose. We live within His plan for us. He will guide us through the darkness and into the light.

Lyrics by Philip P. Bliss, arranged by Philip P. Bliss

“The whole world was lost in the darkness of sin; The light of the world is Jesus; Like sunshine at noonday His glory shone in.

No darkness have we who in Jesus abide, the light of the world is Jesus; We walk in the light when we follow our guide.

Ye dwellers in darkness with sin-blinded eyes, the light of the world is Jesus; Go. Wash at His bidding, and light will arise;

No need of the sunlight in heaven, we’re told, the light of the world is Jesus; The lamb is the light in the City of Gold.

The light of the world is Jesus, come to the light, tis shining for thee; Sweetly the light has dawned upon me; Once I was blind, but now I can see; The light of the world is Jesus.”

The Heavenly Vision

The Heavenly Vision

There was a time in my life that I worried about everything. Hearing that the U.S. is on high alert would send me into a panic attack. Now that I know Jesus and am confident in His power to control what goes on in the world and in my home, I don’t worry about things I have no control over. I trust that God is working for us and will someday send Jesus back to earth to retrieve His children and take us home with Him. This place is not our home; we are just passing through. Keeping our focus on Jesus will make troubles look smaller.

Lyrics by Helen H. Lemmel, arranged by Helen H. Lemmel

“O soul, are you weary and troubled? No light in the darkness you, see? There’s light for a look at the Savior, and life more abundant and free!

Through death into life everlasting He passed, and we follow Him there; Over us sin no more has dominion- for more than conquerors we are!

His word shall not fail you, He promised; Believe Him, and all will be well; Then go to a world that is dying, His perfect salvation to tell!

Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face.. And the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.”

Our Great Savior

Our Great Savior

Who can you trust more than our Savior. He is so loving, compassionate and forgiving. There is no better friend on earth than Jesus Christ our Savior. Friends come and go, they leave when things get tough, they just pass by and never stay in one place. Jesus will never leave us and will always lift us up when we are down. If you are tired, sick, in need of direction, are mourning, then come to Jesus. He is a true friend.

Lyrics by J. Wilbur Chapman, arranged by Bowland W. Prichard

“Jesus! What a friend for Sinners! Jesus! Lover of my soul; Friends may fail me, foes assail me, He, my Savior, makes me whole.

Jesus! What a strength in weakness! Let me hide myself in Him; Tempted, tried, and sometimes failing, He, my strength, my victory wins.

Jesus! What a help in sorrow! While the billows over me roll, even when my heart is breaking, He, my comfort, helps my soul.

Jesus! What a guide and keeper! While the tempest still is high, storms about me, night overtakes me, He, my pilot, hears my cry.

Jesus! I do now receive Him, more than all in Him I find, He has granted me forgiveness, I am His, and He is mine.

Hallelujah! What a Savior! Hallelujah! What a friend! Saving, helping, keeping, loving, He is with me to the end.”

Only Jesus

Only Jesus

If you’re a child of God, then you know that you belong to Jesus and He will care for you all the days of your life. He knows your deepest thoughts and knows what you long for. In the world there are many dark days and good reasons for depression. However, in Jesus, there is light and He will guide you in the darkest of day. There is no reason to fear what is happening on earth because we belong to Jesus and He is the one in control.

Lyrics by Avis B. Christiansen, arranged by Lance B. Latham

“I’ve found a refuge from life’s care in Jesus, I am hiding in His love divine; He fully understands my soul’s deep longing, and He whispers softly, “Thou are mine.”

I’ve found a precious joy in knowing Jesus, never dreamed of in this world of woe; No clouds, however dark, can dim the radiance of the heavenly light He doth bestow.

I’ve found a blessed hope divine in Jesus, Tis a Day Star ever shining bright; It fills my earthly way with heavenly glory, and it turns life’s darkness into light.

Only Jesus! Only Jesus! Only He can satisfy; Every burden becomes a blessing, when I know my Lord is nigh.

Jesus, Lover of My Soul

Jesus, Lover of My Soul

Jesus is our refuge in time of troubles; He’s our protector through the storms. Jesus fights our battles for us and never leaves us to fight alone. Jesus is our Great Physician and all we need is faith and trust in Him. He is more than gracious and kind; He is our great Redeemer.

Lyrics by Charles Wesley, arranged by Simeon B. Marsh

“Jesus, lover of my soul, let me to Thy bosom fly. While the nearer waters roll, while the tempest still is high;  Hide me, O my Savior, hide, till the storm of life is past; Safe into the haven guide, O receive my soul at last.

Other refuge have I none. Hangs my helpless soul on Thee; Leave, ah, leave me not alone. Still support and comfort me. All my trust on Thee is stayed, all my help from Thee I bring; Cover my defenseless head with the shadow of Thy wing.

Thou, O Christ, art all I want; More than all in Thee I find; Raise the fallen, cheer the faint, heal the sick, and lead the blind. Just and holy is Thy name, I am all unrighteous; Vile and full of sin I am, thou are full of truth and grace.

Plenteous grace with Thee is found, grace to cover all my sin; Let the healing streams abound; Make and keep me pure within. Thou of life the fountain art, freely let me take of Thee; Spring Thou up within my heart, rise to all eternity.

Amen.”

He Took My Sins Away

He Took My Sins Away

When Jesus takes our sins away, He no longer remembers them, they are washed away. We, as humans, tend to look back at our sins and we relive the guilt and shame we once had. If we take that sin back to Jesus, He says, I don’t know what you are talking about. Didn’t I wash your sins away when I died on the cross? He doesn’t want us to look back. He wants us to look forward, take in His love and have peace in our heart. He will not condemn us for our past sins. If you come to Jesus today, He will wash your sins away and remember them no more.

Lyrics by Mrs. M. J. Harris, arranged by Mrs. M.J. Harris

“I came to Jesus, weary, worn, and sad. He took my sins away, He took my sins away, and now His love has made my heart so glad. He took my sins away.

The load of sin was more than I could bear, He took them all away, He took them all away, and now on Him I roll my every care. He took my sins away.

No condemnation have I in my heart. He took my sins away, He took my sins away, His perfect peace He did to me impart. He took my sins away.

If you will come to Jesus Christ today, He’ll take your sins away, He’ll take your sins away and keep you happy in His love each day. He’ll take your sins away.

He took my sins away, He took my sins away and keeps me singing every day! I’m so glad He took my sins away. He took my sins away.

Why Do I Sing About Jesus?

Why Do I Sing About Jesus?

When I am positive that God has answered my prayer, it thrills me. It thrills me so much that I sing about Jesus. One of the songs I enjoy singing when I know He has answered my prayers is “My God is an Awesome God.” It gladdens my heart when He shows me how kind He is to even listen to my prayers. He is so gracious. I feel blessed that He even thinks about me. I know I think about Him all the time. He makes me want to do better every day just because He shows me how much He loves me. Why wouldn’t I sing about Jesus? He is everything to me.

Lyrics by Albert A. Ketchum, arranged by Albert A. Ketchum

“Deep in my heart there’s a gladness, Jesus has saved me from sin! Praise to His name, what a Savior! Cleansing without and within.

Only a glimpse of His goodness, that was sufficient for me; Only one look at the Savior, then was my spirit set free.

He is the fairest of fair ones, He is the Lily, the Rose; Rivers of mercy surround Him, Grace, love and pity He shows.

Why do I sing about Jesus? Why is He precious to me? He is my Lord and my Savior, dying, He set me free.”

Great is Thy Faithfulness

Great is Thy Faithfulness

God is so faithful, there is none other more faithful. He is always there for us in every situation and in every moment, day and night. His mercy endures forever and He is the same yesterday, today and forever. It is because of Him we have hope for the future. He bids us come to Him for provisions, for care, but most of all for Love. He forgives and forgets and wants to build a relationship with us.

Lyrics by Thomas O. Chisholm, arranged by William N. Runyan

“Great is Thy faithfulness,” O God my Father, there is no shadow of turning with Thee; Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not; As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.

Summer and winter, and spring-time and harvest, sun, moon and stars in their courses above, join with all nature in manifold witness, to Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth, Thy own dear presence to cheer and to guide; strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow, blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

“Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness!” Morning by morning new mercies I see; All I have needed Thy hand hath provided. “Great is Thy faithfulness,” “Lord, unto me!”

Ye Must Be Born Again

Ye Must Be Born Again

Nicodemus came to Jesus at night and asked Him what must he do to be saved. Jesus answered, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to the spirit.” John 3:3-7. Being born again means to be baptized, to give yourself up to the watery grave and rise forth as a newborn Christian.

Lyrics by William T. Sleeper, arranged by George C. Stebbins

“A ruler once came to Jesus by night, to ask Him the way of salvation and light; The Master made answer in word true and plain.

Ye children of men, attend to the word so solemnly uttered by Jesus the Lord; and let not this message to you be in vain.

Oh, ye who would enter that glorious rest, and sing with the ransomed the song of the blest; The life everlasting if ye would obtain.

A dear one in heaven thy heart yearns to see at the beautiful gate may be watching for thee; Then list to the note of this solemn refrain.

“Ye must be born again.” “Ye must me born again, Ye must be born again; I verily, verily say unto thee, Ye must be born again.”

Wonderful Story of Love

Wonderful Story of Love

What is the wonderful story of Love? To me, it is knowing that God loved me so much that He sent His one and only Son to die for me. He left His words behind so that I could know Him, emulate Him and serve Him to the best of my ability. To know that someday, I will walk with Him before the throne of God and see all those who went on to Heaven before me. In the meantime, I will share God’s love with others, both in words and example.

Lyrics by J. M. Driver, arranged by J. M. Driver

“Wonderful story of love; tell it to me again; Wonderful story of love; Wake the immortal strain! Angels with rapture announce it. Shepherds with wonder receive it; Sinner, O won’t you believe it?

Wonderful story of love; Tho you are far away; Wonderful story of love; Still, He doth call today; Calling from Calvary’s mountain, down from the crystal bright fountain, even from the dawn of creation.

Wonderful story of love; Jesus provides a rest; Wonderful story of love; For all the pure and the blest; Rest in those mansions above us. With those who’ve gone on before us, singing the rapturous chorus.

Wonderful story of love. Wonderful! Wonderful! Wonderful! Wonderful story of love!

Whiter Than Snow

Whiter Than Snow

God wants you, not part of you, but all of you. He wants His Spirit to dwell within you. He wants your desires and focuses to be totally on Him. He wants His wisdom to become your wisdom. Once you surrender yourself to God, He will cleanse you and create in you a new heart. A heart that loves Him in return and loves those around you. You will have a servant heart and an attitude of gratitude. Lean not on your own understanding but totally lean on Jesus’. He will set you free and make you whole.

Lyrics by James Nicholson, arranged by William G. Fischer

“Lord Jesus, I long to be perfectly whole; I want thee forever to live in my soul, break down every idol, cast out every foe.

Lord Jesus, look down from Thy throne in the skies, and help me to make a complete sacrifice; I give up myself, and whatever I know,

Lord Jesus, for this I most humbly entreat, I wait, blessed Lord, at Thy crucified feet; By faith my cleansing, I see Thy blood flow

Lord Jesus, Thou sees’ I patiently wait, come now, and within me  a new heart create; To those who have sought Thee, Thou never sadist, “No”,

Now wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Whiter than snow, yea, whiter than snow; Now wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.”

He offers us life after death and His only requirement is for us to trust and obey. Look to Jesus today and believe Him without delay. Give yourself to Jesus and He will direct your path as you let Him lead you.

Lyrics by John H. Stockton, arranged by John H. Stockton

For Jesus shed His precious blood, rich blessings to bestow; Plunge now into the crimson flood that washes white as snow.

Yes, Jesus is the Truth, the Way, that leads you into rest; Believe in Him without delay and you are fully blest.

Come, then, and join this holy band, and on to glory go, to dwell in that celestial land, where joys immortal flow.

When Love Shines In

When Love Shines In

Love conquers all. When we approach a situation or a burden with love on our heart, it can make everything look better. We may not like some things in our life but if we look at it as part of God’s plan, and we know His plans are perfect, we can turn our thoughts to Love, and it will perfect our attitude, our gratitude and our perspective on what we are about to achieve or face in our lives.

Lyrics by Mrs. Frank A. Breck, arranged by William J. Kirkpatrick

“Jesus comes with power to gladden, when love shines in, every life that woe can sadden, when love shines in. Love will teach us how to pray, Love will drive the gloom away, turn our darkness into day, when love shines in.

How the world will grow with beauty, when love shines in, and the heart rejoice in duty, when love shines in. Trials may be sanctified, and the soul in peace abide, life will all be glorified, when love shines in.

Darkest sorrow will grow brighter when love shines in, and the heaviest burden lighter, when love shines in. Tis the glory that will throw light to show us where to go; O, the heart shall blessing know, when love shines in.

We my have unfading splendor, when love shines in, and a friendship true and tender, when love shines in. When earth victories shall be won, and our life in Heaven begun, there will be no need of sun, when love shines in.

When love shine in, when love shines in, How the heart is tuned to singing, when love shines in, when love shines in, Joy and peace to others bringing, when love shines in.

Though Your Sins Be As Scarle

Though Your Sins Be as Scalet

Romans 8:23 “We have all fallen short of the glory of God.” Everyone has sinned. Your sins may be as red as blood, but Christ can make them white as snow. He is the forgiveness giver; He can wipe away your sins. He is calling you with great compassion. He wants you to come to Him and confess your sins and repent. He will forgive and remember them no more.

Lyrics by Fanny J. Crosby, arranged by William H. Doane

“Tho your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; Tho your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; Tho they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool!” “Tho your sins be as scarlet, tho your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow, they shall be as white as snow.”

Hear the voice that entreats you. O return ye unto God! Hear the voice that entreats you, O return ye unto God! He is of great compassion, and of wondrous love! Hear the voice that entreats you. Hear the voice that entreats you. O return ye unto God! O return ye unto God!

He’ll forgive your transgressions and remember them no more; He’ll forgive your transgressions and remember them no more; “Look unto Me ye people,” Saith the Lord your God! He’ll forgive your transgressions, He’ll forgive your transgression, and remember them no more, and remember them no more.”

There is a Fountain

There is a Fountain

When Jesus died upon the cross, His blood flowed. It flowed from Immanuel which means, God with us. He died in between two thieves, one of which humbled himself and praised Jesus for being perfect. We are all sinners and God doesn’t see one sinner worse than another. Paul said he was the worst of sinners, yet we are not short of sins ourselves. It is by the power of blood that ransomed us from our sins. We have been redeemed and we should all take in that kind of love and live within it daily.

Lyrics by William Cowper, arranged by Early American Melody

“There is a fountain filled with blood drawn from Immanuel’s veins; And sinners, plunged beneath that flood, lose all their guilty stains; Lose all their guilty stains, lose all their guilty stains, and sinners, plunged beneath that flood, lose all their guilty stains.

The dying thief rejoiced to see that fountain in his day; And there may I, though vile as he, wash all my sins away; Wash all my sins away, wash all my sins away; And there may I, though vile as he, wash all my sins away.

Dear dying lamb, thy precious blood shall never lose its power, till all the ransomed Church of God be saved, to sin no more; Be saved to sin no more, be saved to sin no more; Till all the ransomed Church of God be saved to sin no more.

Ever since, by faith, I saw the stream thy flowing wounds supply, redeeming love has been my theme, and shall be till I die; and shall be till I die, Redeeming love has been my theme, and shall be till I die.

Then in a nobler, sweeter song, I’ll sing thy power to save, when this poor lisping, stammering tongue lies silent in the grave; Lies silent in the grave, lies silent in the grave; When this poor lisping, stammering tongue lies silent in the grave.”

Redeemed

Redeemed

Redeemed means having been saved or delivered from sin or its consequences. When Jesus died on the cross, He delivered us from sin. It is by His Mercy, the forgiveness to whom it is not deserving, that we are saved from our sins. Once that is done, we become His child now and forever. We can acknowledge Him as our blessed Redeemer and sing praises to Him all day long.

Lyrics by Fanny J. Crosby, arranged by William J. Kirkpatrick

“Redeemed how I love to proclaim it! Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb; Redeemed through His infinite mercy, His child forever, I am.

Redeemed and so happy in Jesus, no language my rapture can tell; I know that the light of His presence with me doth continually dwell.

I think of my blessed Redeemer, I think of Him all the day long; I sing, for I cannot be silent; His love is the theme of my song.

I know I shall see in His Beauty the King in whose law I delight, Who lovingly guardeth my footsteps, and giveth me songs in the night.

Redeemed, redeemed, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb; Redeemed, redeemed, His child, and forever I am.”

Nothing But the Blood

Nothing But the Blood

The blood of Jesus is the only thing that can wash away our sins, it’s the only thing that can make us whole again. It’s not anything that we can do that will atone our sins. Only the blood of Jesus can give us hope and peace and righteousness.

Lyrics by Robert Lowry, arranged by Robert Lowry

“What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus; What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

For my pardon this I see, nothing but the blood of Jesus; For my cleansing, this my plea, nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Nothing can for sin atone, nothing but the blood of Jesus; Naught of good that I have done, nothing but the blood of Jesus.

This is all my hope and peace, nothing but the blood of Jesus; This is all my righteousness, nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Oh! Precious is the flow that makes me white as snow; No other fount I know. Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Nor Silver nor Gold

Nor Silver nor Gold

There is no amount of money, silver or gold that can get us into heaven. It doesn’t matter if you are rich or poor, it cannot save your soul. It matters not how good you are or the deeds you have done. It won’t earn your way into heaven. The death of Jesus, His blood shed for us is our only foundation that can make us whole and open the door to our salvation. Trust and believe in God, give yourself to Him in baptism and be obedient to Him. Build on your relationship with His son, Jesus. That is the way to the throne of God.

Lyrics by James M. Gray, arranged by Daniel B. Towner

“Nor silver nor gold hath obtained my redemption, nor riches of earth could have saved my poor soul; The blood of the cross is my only  foundation, the death of my Savior now maketh me whole.

Nor silver nor gold hath obtained my redemption, the guilt on my conscience too heavy had grown; The blood of the cross is my only foundation, the death of my Savior could only atone.

Nor silver nor gold hath obtained my redemption the holy commandment forbade me draw near; The blood of the cross is my only foundation, The death of my Savior removeth my fear.

Nor silver nor gold hath obtained my redemption, the way into heaven could not thus be bought; The blood of the cross is my only foundation, the death of my Savior redemption hath wrought.

I am redeemed but not with silver; I am bought but not with gold; Bought with a price the blood of Jesus. Precious price of love untold.”

It Took a Miracle

It Took a Miracle

Omnipotent means having unlimited power; able to do anything. That is God. There is nothing He can’t do. If you ever witnessed a miracle, then you can attest to that being true. The Bible tells us of God’s might and power. Who else can part the waters and let mankind walk through? Who else can send thunder and lightning? Who else can send the Spirit to give a virgin child a baby in her womb? You want to know more, then I encourage you to read the Bible. It is full of God’s power and might.

Lyrics by John W. Peterson, arranged by John W. Peterson

“My Father is omnipotent, and that you can’t deny; A God of might and miracles tis written in the sky.

Tho here His glory has been shown, we still can’t fully see the wonders of His might, His throne twill take eternity.

The Bible tells us of His power and wisdom all way through, and every little bird and flower are testimonies too.

It took a miracle to put the stars in place,  it took a miracle to hang the world in space; But when He saved my soul,  cleansed and made me whole, it took a miracle of love and grace!

Love Led Him to Calvary

Love Led Him to Calvary

When Jesus came to earth, He was born in a sin filled world. His ministry built in Him a love for every soul He encountered. He wanted them to follow Him and make them His own. It didn’t matter if the person was rich or poor, intelligent or average, or even inept. Their looks didn’t matter and their status didn’t matter. Jesus didn’t look at the outside of the individual; He looked at the heart. He sought the sinful and He still does today. Open your heart to Jesus and let Him make you His own. He knows your heart.

Lyrics by George O. Webster, arranged by Charles H. Gabriel

“Love led the Savior, in days long ago, down to earth’s darkness, it sin and its woe; Seeking the lost ones, His mercy to show.

Love, for a manger, abandoned a throne, seeking the sinful, the sad and the lone; Yearning to win them and make them His own.

Seeing the soul in its infinite worth, stooping, in love, to the lowliest birth, seeking the lost in the byways of earth.

Longing, in pity, the lost ones to save, braving the garden the Cross and the grave, seeking this only, the sinful to save, Love led Him to Calvary. Love led Him to Calvary, Love led Him to Calvary; Seeking the lost, at the uttermost cost, Love led Him to Calvary.”

I Will Sing the Wondrous Story

I Will Sing the Wondrous Story

There is a time in most people’s lives that they worshipped God, praised His Holy name and at some point, had wandered away from God. It’s like hiking in the mountains and following a familiar path, and one day we decide to take a short cut, but the path doesn’t lead in the direction you want. We become lost and fearful and worried we will never be found. Jesus happens to be right in front of us and He leads us back to safety. We have fallen many times in our life and Jesus has always been there to pick us up. All we have to do is look toward Him and find Him waiting.

Lyrics by Francis H. Rowley, arranged by Peter P. Bilhorn

“I will sing the wondrous story of the Christ who died for me, How He left His home in glory for the cross of Calvary.

I was lost, but Jesus found me, found the sheep that went astray, threw His loving arms around me, drew me back into His way.

I was bruised, but Jesus healed me; Faint was I from many a fall; Sight was gone, and fears possessed me, But He freed me from them all.

Days of darkness still come over me, Sorrow’s paths I often tread, but the Savior still is with me; By His hand I’m safely led.

He will keep me till the river rolls its waters at my feet; Then He’ll bear me safely over, where the loved ones I shall meet.

Yes, I’ll sing the wondrous story of the Christ, who died for me. Sing it with the saints in glory gathered by the Crystal Sea.”
