I Gave My Life for Thee

I Gave My Life for Thee

Jesus, our precious Savior gave up His place in heaven to come down to earth. He left it all behind to be with mankind. He blessed the world with His presence and showed us how to live. He suffered with mankind to the very end of His life. His precious blood He shed for us so that our sins could be forgiven and so that we might have salvation with Him in heaven. What have you given in return? What have you left for Him? And how much do you suffer in the name of Jesus? Have you brought your all to Him?

Lyrics by Frances R. Havergal, arranged by Philip P. Bliss

“I gave My life for thee, My precious blood I shed, that thou might ransomed be, and quickened from the dead; I gave, I gave My life for thee, What has thou given for Me?

My Father’s house of light, My glory circled throne I left for earthly night, for wanderings sad and lone; I left, I left if all for thee, has thou left aught for Me?

I suffered much for thee, more than thy tongue can tell, of bitterest agony, to rescue thee from hell; I’ve borne, I’ve borne it all for thee, what has thou borne for Me?

And I have brought to thee, down from My home above, salvation full and free, my pardon and My love; I bring, I bring rich gifts to thee, what has thou brought to Me?

Let Jesus Come into Your Heart

Let Jesus Come into Your Heart

If you are sinning and you know it is a sin. If you are tired of this sin and need help in releasing it, then let Jesus come into your heart. He alone can help you when nothing else can do it. If you give up trying to release it yourself, ask God for forgiveness and put your trust in Him. Surrender all your efforts to Him and Let Jesus come into your heart.

Lyrics by Leila N. Morris, arranged by Leila N. Morris

“If you are tired of the load of your sin, Let Jesus come into your heart; If you desire a new life to begin, Let Jesus come into your heart.

If tis for purity now that you sigh, Let Jesus come into your heart; fountains for cleansing are flowing nearby, Let Jesus come into your heart.

If there’s a tempest your voice cannot still, Let Jesus come into your heart; If there’s a void this world never can fill, Let Jesus come into your heart.

If you would join the glad songs of the blest, Let Jesus come into your heart; If you would enter the mansions of rest, Let Jesus come into your heart.

Just now, your doubting give o’er; just now, reject Him no more; Just now, throw open the door; Let Jesus come into your heart.

Look to the Lamb of God

Look to the Lamb of God

When you are feeling trapped in sin. When you are feeling lonely. When you have doubts and fears. When you are tired and weak. Whether you are happy or sad, Look to the Lamb of God. He will free you from sin. He will be with you night and day. He will give you strength and comfort you in all your doubts and fears.

Lyrics by H. G. Jackson, arranged by James M. Black

“If you from sin are longing to be free, Look to the Lamb of God; He to redeem you, died on Calvary, Look to the Lamb of God.

When Satan tempts, and doubts and fears assail, Look to the Lamb of God; You in His strength, shall over all prevail, Look to the Lamb of God.

Are you aweary, does the way seem Long? Look to the Lamb of God; His love will cheer and fill your heart with song, Look to the Lamb of God.

Fear not when shadows on your pathway fall, Look to the Lamb of God; In joy or sorrow Christ is all in all, Look to the Lamb of God.

Look to the Lamb of God, Look to the Lamb of God, For He alone is able to save you. Look to the Lamb of God.”

I Am Coming, Lord

                                        Am Coming, Lord

There is not one person on earth that God doesn’t think is worth saving. Jesus forgives you no matter what you have done. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life,” John 3:16. “The Lord is not slow to fulfill His promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not willing that any should perish, but that all shall reach repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9. Hear His welcome voice. Come to Him and be cleansed.

Lyrics by Lewis Hartsough, arranged by Lewis Hartsough.

“I hear Thy welcome voice, that calls me, Lord, to Thee for cleansing in Thy precious blood that flowed on Calvary.

Tho’ coming weak and vile, Thou dose my strength assure; Thou dost my vileness fully cleanse, till spotless and pure.

Tis Jesus calls me on to perfect faith and love, to perfect hope, and peace and trust, for earth and heaven above,

I am coming, Lord! Coming now to Thee! Wash me, cleanse me in the blood that flowed from Calvary!

Pass Me Not, O Gentle Savior

Pass Me Not, O Gentle Savior

When and if we are raptured up, the last thing we want is to be left behind. We sometimes wonder if God is too busy for us. It is a comfort to know that God knows everything about us and hears every word we think. He will not pass us by unless we don’t have a relationship with His Son, Jesus. If we pass Him by in denying Him, then He will surely pass us by. Being a child of God means we will meet Him at the throne of mercy, saved by His grace.

Lyrics by Fanny J. Crosby, arranged by William H. Doane

“Pass me not, O gentle Savior, hear my humble cry; while on others Thou are calling, do not pass me by.

Let me at a throne of mercy find a sweet relief, Kneeling there in deep contrition. Help my unbelief.

Trusting only in Thy merit, would I seek Thy face; heal my wounded, broken spirit. Save me by Thy grace.

Thou the spring of all my comfort, more than life to me, whom have I on earth beside Thee? Whom in heaven but Thee?

Savior, Savior, hear my humble cry; while on others Thou are calling, do not pass me by.”

Fill Me Now

Fill Me Now

There are times when we find that we learn one lesson in multiple ways. It is amazing how the Holy Spirit works in us to teach us what we need to know. You may be studying God’s Word and receive a similar lesson from the preacher the same morning or it may come up in a discussion you are having. When we are struggling to get an answer over a dilemma or need clarification, then when we ask God to send His Holy Spirit to teach us, He will gather all the data He needs and present it to us many times over until we learn what He wants us to know.

Lyrics by Elwood H. Stokes, arranged by John R. Sweney

“Hover o’er me, Holy Spirit, bathe my trembling heart and brow; Fill me with Thy hallowed presence, come, o come and fill me now.

Thou canst fill me, gracious Spirit, though I cannot tell Thee how; But I need Thee, greatly need Thee, come, o come and fill me now.

I am weakness, full of weakness, at Thy sacred feet I bow; Blest, divine, eternal Spirit, fill with power and fill me now.

Cleanse and comfort, bless and save me, bathe, O bathe my heart and brow; Thou are comforting and saving, thou are sweetly fill me now.

Fill me now, fill me now, Jesus, come and fill me now; fill me with Thy hallowed presence, come, O come and fill me now.”

Love Divine, All Loves Excelling

Love Divine, All Loves Excelling

When Jesus brings the New Jerusalem down to earth, we will see the place He prepared for us and will receive our crown for faithfulness. Jesus is all Mercy, Compassion and Love. He will take away our need to sin and we will enter His temple and serve Him as His hosts above. We will want to praise Him without ceasing and be glorified in His Love. We will be pure and spotless and see our great salvation restored in Jesus. We will gladly throw our crowns before the throne of God.

Lyrics by Charles Wesley, arranged by John Zundel

“Love, divine, all loves excelling, joy of heaven to earth come down. Fix in us Thy humble dwelling; all Thy faithful mercies crown, Jesus, Thou are all compassion, Pure, unbounded love Thou are; Visit us with Thy salvation; enter every trembling heart.

Breathe, o breathe Thy loving spirit into every troubled breast! Let us all in Thee inherit, Let us find that second rest. Take away our bent to sinning, Alpha and Omega be; End of faith, as its beginning, set our hearts at liberty.

Come, Almighty to deliver, let us all Thy life receive; Suddenly return, and never, Nevermore Thy temples leave; Thee we would be always blessing, Serve Thee as Thy hosts above, Pray and praise Thee without ceasing, Glory in Thy perfect love.

Finish then Thy new creation; Pure and spotless let us be; Let us see Thy great salvation perfectly restored in Thee; Changed from glory into glory, Till in heaven we take our place, Till we cast our crowns before Thee, Lost in wonder, love, and praise.

Safe in the Arms of Jesus

Safe in the Arms of Jesus

When we are babies and on through our toddler years the safest place we feel is in the arms of our mother and father. When we stumble and fall, our parents are there to pick us up and comfort us. As we get older, parents may not be there for us, nor do we feel secure in this world. But Jesus is our security, and we are safe in His arms. The world cannot touch us while we are in His arms, sin cannot tempt us. Our ever-abiding love and comfort comes from the arms of Jesus.

Lyrics by Fanny J. Crosby, arranged by William H. Doane

“Safe in the arms of Jesus, safe on His gentle breast, there by His love overshaded, sweetly my soul shall rest. Hark! Tis the voice of angels, Borne in a song to me, Over the fields of glory, over the Jasper Sea.

Safe in the arms of Jesus, safe from corroding care, safe from the world’s temptations, sin cannot harm me there. Free from the blight of sorrow, free from my doubts and fears; only a few more trials, only a few more tears.

Jesus, my heart’s dear refuge, Jesus has died for me; firm on the Rock of Ages, ever my trust shall be. Here let me wait with patience, wait till the night is over; wait till I see the morning break on the golden shore…

Safe in the arms of Jesus, safe on His gentle breast, there by His lover o’er shaded, sweetly my soul shall rest.

My Jesus as Thou Wilt!

My Jesus as thou Wilt!

Matthew 26:39 “Father, if it’s possible, let this cup (of suffering) be taken away from me. But let your will be done rather than mine.” Jesus gave up His life to do as God willed, so that our sins might be taken away.

Our life consists of two choices, my will or His will. We live in a sin filled world where most people live by their will and not God’s will. It takes a lot of courage, trust and faith to say, “Not my will but thine be done.” Giving our all to God is doing God’s will and entrusting everything we have to Him who gave us everything. Our hope is in Him who will take us on to eternity because we lived within His will.

Lyrics by Benjamin Schmolck, arranged by Joseph P. Holbrook

“My Jesus, as thou wilt! O may thy will be mine; Into thy hand of Love, I would my all resign. Thro’ sorrow, or thro’ joy, conduct me as thine own; and help me still to say, My Lord, Thy will be done.

My Jesus, as Thou wilt! Tho’ seen thro’ many a tear, let not my star of hope grow dim or disappear. Since thou on earth hast wept and sorrowed oft alone, if I must weep with Thee, My Lord, Thy will be done.

My Jesus, as Thou wilt! All shall be well for me; each changing future scene I gladly trust with Thee. Straight to my home above I travel calmly on, and sing, in life or death, My Lord, Thy will be done.”

Constantly Abiding

Constantly Abiding

There is nothing on this earth that can bring a person peace of mind. We must look to Jesus if we want the kind of peace that passes all understanding. This is the kind of peace that can’t be taken away from us. All the troubles in the world will end in peace if we are constantly abiding with Jesus.

Lyrics by Mrs. Will L. Murphy, arranged by Mrs. Will L. Murphy

“There’s a peace in my heart that the world never gave, a peace it can not take away; Tho’ the trials of life may surround like a cloud, I’ve a peace that has come here to stay!

All the world seemed to sing of a Savior and King, when peace sweetly came to my heart; Troubles all fled away and my night turned to day, Blessed Jesus how glorious thou art!

This treasure I have in a temple of clay, while here on His footstool I roam; But He’s coming to take me some glorious day, over there to my heavenly home!

Constantly abiding, Jesus is mine; Constantly abiding, rapture divine; He never leaves me lonely, whispers, O so kind; “I will never leave thee,” Jesus is mine.

Precious Hiding Place

Precious Hiding Place

Every person has probably been in a cold, dark place in their life. It feels lonely there and seems at times unbearable. It may have been falling into the trap of temptation. It may have been depression, It may have been losing someone who was so dear to us that we feel we can’t live without. Jesus gently guides us to a warm, quiet place. There is a light that we can follow. That light is Jesus; His nail scarred hand reaches out to us and draws us near to Him. We are safe in Jesus’ arms and He brings clarification to what we need to do. We must accept His invitation and relax in His arms.

Lyrics by Avis B. Christensen, arranged by Wendell P. Loveless

“I was straying when Christ found me in the night so dark and cold; Tenderly His arm went round me and He bore me to His fold.

With His nail scarred hand He brought me to the shelter of His love; Of His grace and will He taught me, and of heavenly rest above.

Tho the night be dark around me, I am safe, for He is near; Never shall my foes confound me, while the Savior’s voice I hear.

Precious hiding place, Precious hiding place, in the shelter of His love; Not a doubt of fear, since my Lord is near, and I’m sheltered in His love.”

How Firm a Foundation

How Firm a Foundation

Our foundation is built on God’s word. Our faith is derived from God’s word. He promises to be our refuge in time of trouble. We have no reason to fear when we know we can rely on God to always be with us. He will give us aid, strengthen us and help us to stand by His omnipotent hand.  He will go with us through trials and tribulations and strengthen us when we are weak.

Lyrics are by an unknown author and was arranged by Early American Melody.

“How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord, is laid for you faith in His excellent word! What more can He say than to you He has said, to you who for refuge to Jesus have fled?

Fear not, I am with thee, O be not dismayed, for I am thy God, and will still give thee aid; I’ll strengthen thee, help thee, and cause thee to stand, upheld by My gracious, omnipotent hand.

When thro’ the deep waters I call thee to go, the rivers of sorrow shall not overflow; For I will be with thee thy trials to bless and sanctify to thee thy deepest distress.

When thro’ fiery trials thy pathway shall lie, My grace, all sufficient, shall be thy supply; the flames shall not hurt thee, I only design thy dross to consume, and thy gold to refine.”

My Hope is in the Lord

My Hope is in the Lord

Hope is a confident expectation in the promises of God, grounded in His character and faithfulness. Heb. 11:1 “Faith is the assurance of what we hope for and certainty of what we do not see.” It is not in what we do in life that assures us of this hope. Our hope comes in our relationship with Jesus and what He has done for us. It is in the fact that He will go in front of His Father to claim us as His own.

Lyrics by Norman J. Clayton, arranged by Norman J. Clayton

“My hope is in the Lord, who gave Himself for me, and paid the price of all my sin at Calvary.

No merit of my own, His anger to suppress. My only hope is found in Jesus’ righteousness.

And now for me He stands, before the Father’s throne, He shows His wounded hands and names me as His own.

His grace has planned it all. ‘Tis mine but to believe. And recognize His work of love and Christ receive.

For me, He died, For me, He lives, And everlasting life and light He freely gives.”

Jesus is the Sweetest Name I Know

Jesus is the Sweetest Name I Know

When we are about to give birth to a baby, names are important to us. Many parents research the meaning of names to decide what they will name their child. Others name their baby after an ancestor or close friends or relatives. Names have been important ever since Adam named all the animals and his wife. A lot of the Biblical names were handed down from father to son. There is one person that has many names in the Bible. But the name we know most of all is His name Jesus Christ.  There is no other name that is spoken with reverence and adoration. No other name that deserves honor and praise. No other name that can make us free and give us access to God. Jesus is the sweetest name I know.

Lyrics by Lela Long, arranged by Lela Long

“There have been names that I have loved to hear, but never has there been a name so dear to this heart of mine, as the name divine, the precious, glorious name of Jesus.

There is no name in earth or heaven above, that we should give such honor and such love as the blessed name, let us all acclaim, that wondrous, glorious name of Jesus.

And some day I shall see Him face to face to thank and praise Him for His wondrous grace, which He gave to me, when He made me free the blessed Son of God called Jesus.

Jesus is the sweetest name I know, And He’s just the same as His lovely name, and that’s the reason why I love Him so; Oh, Jesus is the sweetest name I know.”

He is Able to Deliver Thee

He is Able to Deliver Thee

If you are struggling with heartache and pain. If you are struggling with relationship problems, sickness, or shortcomings, God can deliver you. If you are struggling with a lack of trust and faith in the God who can deliver you, then rest assured He is always there, ready and waiting for you to surrender to Him that He might deliver you. To the guilty heart, to the sinful soul, no one is so bad off that God won’t deliver you.

Lyrics by William A. Ogden, arranged by William A. Ogden

“Tis the grandest theme thro the ages rung; Tis the grandest theme for a mortal tongue; Tis the grandest theme that the world ever sung, “Our God is able to deliver thee.”

Tis the grandest theme in the earth or main; Tis the grandest theme for a mortal strain Tis the grandest theme, tell the world again, “Our God is able to deliver thee.”

Tis the grandest theme, let the tidings roll, to the guilty heart, to the sinful soul; Look to God in faith, He will make thee whole, “Our God is able to deliver thee.”

How Great Thou Art!

How Great Thou Art!

I love this song; it is one of my favorites. I sing it when I am out walking and watching all the squirrels and rabbits running around. I sing it when I am driving and taking in all the fall colors and pretty clouds above. My husband and I used to mushroom pick in the Oregon timber trails. It was beautiful there and not only did we find mushrooms, but we also came across streams of water, and views from mountain tops. We have been to Lake Tahoe, Donner Lake, and the Grand Canyon. All this beauty always caused me to sing this song. God is so awesome that He created all this for you and me. I like to sit on my porch at night and gaze at the moon and stars. Did you know He suspended it all in even proportion to all the planets, Including earth? It is amazing to think about. You and I can never be that perfect and precise, but we can praise the One that is.

Lyrics by Carl Buberu, arranged by Manna Music, Inc.

“O Lord my God! When I in awesome wonder, consider all the worlds thy hands have made, I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder, Thy power throughout the universe displayed.

When through the woods and forest glades I wander and hear birds sing sweetly in the trees; When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur and hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze.

And when I think that God, His Son not sparing, Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in.  That on the cross my burden gladly bearing, He bled and died to take away my sin.

When Christ shall come with shout of acclimation and take me home, what joy shall fill my heart! Then I shall bow in humble adoration and there proclaim, my God, how great Thou art!

Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee; How great Thou art! Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee; How great Thou art! How great Thou art!

Nailed to the Cross

Nailed to the Cross

We as humans are so unworthy to have someone take up all our burdens and all our sins just to die on the cross for us. Jesus didn’t have to do this, nor did we deserve it, but He willingly did this for you and I. He has been tender-hearted and patient with a world full of sinners. He doesn’t condemn us, instead He is loving and compassionate toward us. Consider the burden He bore for us as He carried our sins and nailed them to the cross.

Lyrics by Carrie E. Breck, arranged by Grant C. Tullar

“There was One who was willing to die in my stead, that a soul so unworthy might live; And the path to the cross He was willing to tread, all the sins of my life to forgive.

He is tender and loving and patient with me, while He cleanses my heart of the dross; But “there’s no condemnation” I know I am free, for my sins are all nailed to the cross.

I will cling to my Savior and never depart, I will joyfully journey each day, with a song on my lips and a song in my heart, that my sins have been taken away.

They are nailed to the cross, they are nailed to the cross, O how much He was willing to bear! With what anguish and loss Jesus went to the cross! But He carried my sins with Him there.”

I Will Praise Him

I will Praise Him

There’s an open invitation for all those who want their sins washed away. When we answer the Holy Spirits calling and are baptized, then our sins are forgiven, and our slates are wiped clean. We become part of God’s kingdom and grow in relationship to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We will praise the Lamb for sinners slain. Jesus Christ is the Lamb and the only way to get to Heaven.

Lyrics by Mrs. M.J. Harris, arranged by Mrs. M. J. Harris

“When I saw the cleansing fountain open wide for all my sin, I obeyed the Spirit’s wooing, when He said, will thou be clean?

Tho the way seems straight and narrow, all I claimed was swept away; my ambitions, plans and wishes, at my feet in ashes lay.

Then God’s fire upon the altar of my heart was set aflame; I shall never cease to praise Him, Glory, glory to His name!

Blessed by the name of Jesus! I’m so glad He took me in; He’s forgiven my transgressions; He has cleansed my heart from sin.

Glory, glory to the Father! Glory, glory to the Son! Glory, glory to the Spirit! Glory to the Three in one!

I will praise Him! I will praise Him! Praise the Lamb for sinners slain; Give Him glory, all you people, for His blood can wash away each stain

Sunlight

Sunlight

God’s Love is our sunlight and when darkness of sadness or depression enters in, God’s light will guide you back to His love. That’s where peace abides and the world would be left behind. Soon we’ll see Him face to face and abide in His Love forevermore.

Lyrics by Jepson W. Van DeVenter and arranged by Winfield S. Weeden

“I wandered in the shades of night, Till Jesus came to me.  And with the sunlight of His love bid all my darkness flee.

Tho’ clouds may gather in the sky. And billows round me roll, however dark the world may be I’ve sunlight in my soul.

While walking in the light of God, I sweet communion find; I press with holy vigor on. And leave the world behind.

I cross the wide extended fields, I journey o’er the plain, And in the sunlight of His love I reap the golden grain.

Soon I shall see Him as He is. The light that came to me; Behold the brightness of His face, throughout eternity.

Sunlight, sunlight in my soul today. Sunlight, sunlight all along the way; Since the Savior found me, took away my sin. I have had the sunlight of His love within.”

Since Jesus Came into My Heart

Since Jesus Came into My Heart

If you have been baptized, then your sins have been washed away, and Jesus has come into your heart. You have agreed with Jesus to leave your sinful ways behind and to trust in Him. Because of this, you have hope for salvation and a place in Heaven with Jesus.

Lyrics by Rufus H. McDaniel and arranged by Charles H. Gabriel

“What a wonderful change in my life has been wrought since Jesus came into my heart! I have light in my soul for which long I had sought.

I have ceased from my wandering and going astray, since Jesus came into my heart! And my sins, which were many, are all washed away.

I’m possessed of a hope that is steadfast and sure, since Jesus came into my heart! And no dark clouds of doubt now my pathway obscure.

There’s a light in the valley of death now for me, since Jesus came into my heart! And the gates of the City beyond I can see.

I shall go there to dwell in that City, I know, since Jesus came into my heart! And I’m happy, so happy, as onward I go.

Since Jesus came into my heart! Since Jesus came into my heart, since Jesus came into my heart, floods of joy over my soul like the sea billows roll, since Jesus came into my heart.”

Heavenly Sunlight

Heavenly Sunlight

Imagine going on a hike and smelling the fresh air, the cedar or pine trees. Imagine seeing large Oak trees that create shadows all around you and the sun peaking through, highlighting all the beautiful scenery around you. Now imagine Jesus walking with you, holding your hand, to me that creates such a secure feeling and makes me want to sing. Now imagine Him singing along with you.

Lyrics by J. Zelley, arranged by George H, Cook

“Walking in sunlight, all of my journey; over the mountains, through the deep vale; Jesus has said “I’ll never forsake thee,” promise divine that never can fail.

Shadows around me, shadows above me, never conceal my Savior and Guide; He is the light, in Him is no darkness; Ever I’m walking close to His side.

In the bright sunlight, ever rejoicing, pressing my way to mansions above; Singing His praises gladly I’m walking, walking in sunlight, sunlight of love,

Heavenly sunlight, heavenly sunlight, flooding my soul with glory divine; Hallelujah, I am rejoicing, Singing His praises, Jesus is mine.

When you think of Jesus, does a song come to mind? He gives us our songs and puts a melody in our heart. When we arrive in heaven our songs will still be with us and we will be harmonious because in heaven we will have a great singing voice.

Lyrics by Elton M. Roth, arranged by Elton M. Roth

“I have a song that Jesus gave me, it was sent from heaven above; There never was a sweeter melody, Tis a melody of love.

I love the Christ who died on Calvary, For He washed my sins away; He put within my heart a melody, and I know it’s there to stay.

Twill be my endless theme in glory, with the angels I will sing; Twill be a song with glorious harmony, When the courts of heaven ring.

In my heart there rings a melody, there rings a melody with heaven’s harmony; In my heart there rings a melody; There rings a melody of love.”

Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee

Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee

Think of all the positive things in our world. We have the beauty of the sun, moon and stars, Oceans mountains and birds. We have forgiveness, victories in strife.  All of the above is contributed to the Love of God. That great Love that binds us to God also binds us to each other. Let us sing this song and put music in our hearts.

Lyrics by Henry Van Dyke, arranged by Ludwig Vam Beethoven

“Joyful, joyful, we adore Thee, God of glory, Lord of Love; Hearts unfold like flowers before Thee, Hail Thee as the sun above, Melt the clouds of sin and sadness; drive the dark of doubt away; Giver of immortal gladness, Fill us with the light of day!

All Thy works with joy surround Thee, earth and heaven reflect Thy rays, Stars and angels sing around Thee, Center of unbroken praise; Field and forest, vale and mountain, Flowery meadow flashing sea, Chanting bird and flowing fountain, call us to rejoice in Thee.

Thou art giving and forgiving, ever blessing, ever blest, whispering of joy of living, ocean depth of happy rest! Thou our Father, Christ our brother, All who live in love are Thine; Teach us how to love each other, lift us to the joy divine.

Mortals, join the mighty chorus which the morning stars began; Father love is reigning over us, Brother love binds man to man. Ever singing, march we onward, victors in the midst of strife; Joyful music lifts us sunward in the triumph song of life.”

I am Coming to the Cross

I am Coming to the Cross

Come you who are heavy burdened and you shall find rest. Give all that you have, your friends, your time, your earthly possessions, soul and body. Jesus promises to cleanse you from all your sins. He will make you His for all eternity. In Him you will be perfected!

Lyrics by William McDonald arranged by William G. Fischer

“I am coming to the cross; I am poor and weak and blind; I am counting all but dross; I shall full salvation find.

Long my heart has sighed for thee, Long has evil reigned within; Jesus sweetly speaks to me, “I will cleanse you from all sin.”

Here I give my all to thee; Friends and time and earthly store; Soul and body Thine to be, wholly thine forevermore.

In the promises I trust; Now I feel the blood applied; I am prostrate in the dust; I with Christ am crucified.

Jesus comes! He fills my soul! Perfected in Him I am; I am every whit made whole; Glory, glory to the Lamb!”

Praise Him! Praise Him!

Praise Him! Praise Him!

Jesus is our blessed Redeemer. We as His children, His followers should be praising Him all day long. Praise Him for loving us. Praise Him for His strength and honor. For guarding us and guiding us day and night. We are in His arms all day, every day. He is our prophet, Priest and King and He is coming soon to carry us home!

Lyrics by Fanny J. Crosby, arranged by Chester G. Allen

“Praise Him! Praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer! Sing, O earth. His wonderful love proclaim! Hail Him! Hail Him! Highest archangels in glory; strength and honor give to His holy name! Like a shepherd, Jesus will guard His children, in His arms He carries them all day long.

Praise Him! Praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer! For our sins He suffered, and bled, and died; He our Rock, our hope of eternal salvation, Hail Him! Hail Him! Jesus the crucified. Sound His praises! Jesus who bore our sorrows, Love unbounded, wonderful, deep and strong.

Praise Him! Praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer! Heavenly portals loud with Hosannas ring! Jesus, Savior, reigneth forever and ever; Crown Him! Crown Him! Prophet, and Priest, and King! Christ is coming! Over the world victorious, Power and glory unto the Lord belong.

Praise Him! Praise Him! Tell of His excellent greatness; Praise Him! Praise Him! Ever in joyful song.”

O To Be Like Thee!

O To Be Like Thee!

Jesus, our loving, compassionate Savior. So tender and kind. Arms wide open, ready to receive us. Jesus was patient with those who ridiculed Him and was willing to suffer on the cross for us. Always there for us whenever we need Him. Our prayer is to be like Him, ready to surrender ourselves and all that we have.

Lyrics by Thomas O. Chisholm arranged by William J. Kirkpatrick

“O to be like Thee! Blessed Redeemer, this is my constant longing and prayer; Gladly I’ll forfeit all of earth’s treasures, Jesus, thy perfect likeness to wear.

O to be like Thee! Full of compassion, loving, forgiving, tender and kind, helping the helpless, cheering the fainting, seeking the wandering sinner to find.

O to be like Thee! Lowly in spirit, Holy and harmless, patient and brave: Meekly enduring cruel reproaches, willing to suffer others to save.

O to be like Thee! Lord, I am coming, now to receive the anointing divine; All that I am and have I am bringing, Lord, from this moment all shall be thine.

O to be like Thee! While I am pleading, pour out thy spirit, fill with thy love; Make me a temple meet for thy dwelling, fit me for life and heaven above.”

Come, Thou Fount

Come, Thou Fount

Our God is so full of Mercy and Grace. Mercy means not getting what we deserve. Grace means getting what we don’t deserve.

God is always looking for us to come to Him. He will rescue us from ourselves and from danger, even when we wander away from Him. We owe God all of our love for being so gracious to us. Let us say, “Here’s my heart, O take and seal it.

Lyrics by Robert Robinson arranged by John Wyeth

“Come, thou fount of every blessing, tune my heart to sing thy grace; streams of mercy, never ceasing, call for songs of loudest praise. Teach me some melodious sonnet, sung by flaming tongues above; Praise the mount, I’m fixed upon it- Mount of thy redeeming love.

Here I raise my Ebenezer; Hither by they help I’m come; and I hope, by thy good pleasure, safely to arrive at home. Jesus sought me when a stranger, wandering from the fold of God; He, to rescue me from danger, interposed His precious blood.

O to grace how great a debtor daily I’m constrained to be! Let thy goodness, like a fetter, bind my wandering heart to thee; Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it, prone to leave the God I love; Here’s my heart, O take and seal it; Seal it for thy courts above.”
