In The Hollow of His Hand

In The Hollow of His Hand

God has surely made His promises and if you read His words, you know He has always kept His promises. One of those promises is that He will never leave us or forsake us. However, if we are not one of His children, but a follower of Satan, He does not hold you in the palm of His hand. He is, however, waiting with open arms for you to come to Him. Being one of His children, we have the blessing of His protection and His wisdom. He gives the peace that passes all understanding. We can rely on Him to always be there for us.

Lyrics William M. Runyan, arranged by George S. Schuler

“Our God has given promise – and His grace for this has planned; His child shall rest securely in the hollow of His hand.

O soul, be thou not troubled, though thou does not understand; No turmoil shall molest thee in the hollow of His hand.

Even though stern duty calls thee, and each day make full demand, the soul may find its shelter in the hollow of His hand.

The joy that passes knowledge, peace that none can understand, for thee, for thee are waiting in the hollow of His hand.

Let come what may, or wave, or tempest “Peace be still!” tis His command; My soul is held in peace eternal in the hollow of His hand.

I Know Who Holds Tomorrow

I Know Who Holds Tomorrow

We don’t know what will happen tomorrow, nor do we know how this day will turn out. We do know that God knows tomorrow and all His plans are good. It’s important to live minute by minute, day by day, for worrying about tomorrow won’t get us anywhere. God tells us not to worry about tomorrow, for today is sufficient. He also tells us not to say, “I am going to do this, or that” without first saying, “if God wills.” Trust in Jesus, He alone knows what lies ahead.

Lyrics by Ira Stanphill, arranged by Ira Stanphill

“I don’t know about tomorrow, I just live from day to – day. I don’t borrow from the sunshine, for its skies may turn to gray. I don’t worry over the future, for I know what Jesus said. And today I’ll walk beside Him, for He knows what lies ahead.

Every step is getting brighter, as the golden stairs I climb. Every burden’s getting lighter; every cloud is silver lined. There the sun is always shining. There no tear will dim the eye, At the ending of the rainbow where the mountains touch the sky.

I don’t know about tomorrow , it may bring me poverty. But the one who feeds the sparrow is the one who stands by me. And the path that be my portion, may be through the flame or flood. But His presence goes before me, and I’m covered with His blood.

Many things about tomorrow I don’t seem to understand; But I know who holds tomorrow, and I know He holds my hand.”

Precious Lord, Take My Hand

Precious Lord, Take My Hand

I believe that the hardest job is to be a caretaker for a loved one. My husband, when he was dying wanted me to hold his hand every night. After he slept, I went to my bed and imagined Jesus holding my hand. For both my husband and me it was a comfort we both needed. There were days when we both felt weak and worn out. Today, my husband walks hand in hand with our Lord and someday, I too, will be walking with Jesus. Hold on to Him because He will never let go. If you don’t feel it, maybe you have let go of His hand. Return to His waiting hand and never let go again. He offers peace and comfort. He renews us when we need it.

Lyrics by Thomas A. Dorsey, arranged by Thomas A. Dorsey

“Precious Lord, take my hand, lead me on, help me stand; I am tired, I am weak, I am worn; Through the storm, through the night, lead me on to the light, take my hand, precious Lord, lead me home.

When my way grows drear, Precious Lord, linger near; When my life is almost gone, hear my cry, hear my call, hold my hand lest I fall; take my hand, precious Lord, lead me home.

His Eye is on The Sparrow

His Eye is on The Sparrow

When we have a relationship with Jesus, we know that He watches over us. In fact, He watches over all His creation, and He provides for all of it. There is no reason to be discouraged or fearful when we know that God is watching over us. We can rest in His goodness and draw closer to Him by reading His Word and getting to know Him. It is great to know that someone with higher power has us in His sight.

Lyrics by Civilla D. Martin, arranged by Charles H. Gabriel

“Why should I feel discouraged, why should the shadows come, why should my heart be lonely and long for heaven and home, when Jesus is my portion? His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.

“Let not your heart be troubled,” His tender word I hear, and resting on His goodness, I lose my doubts and fears; Though by the path He leads but one step I may see; His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.

Whenever I am tempted, whenever clouds arise, when songs give place to sighing, when hope within me dies, I draw the closer to Him, from care He sets me free; His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.

His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me, I sing because I’m happy, I sing because I’m free, for His ey is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.”

He Hideth My Soul

He Hideth My Soul

We have a wonderful Savior that blesses us every day of our lives. He showers us with His love and kindness and fights our fights for us. He eases our burdens and turns them into blessings. He’s our great Redeemer and we should be looking forward to being with Him in heaven. God is good all the time and all the time He is good.

Lyrics by Fanny J. Crosby, arranged by William J. Kirkpatrick

“A wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord, a wonderful Savior to me, He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock, where rivers of pleasure I see.

A wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord, He taketh my burden away, He holdeth me up and I shall not be moved, He giveth me strength as my day.

With numberless blessings each moment He crowns, and filled with His fullness divine, I sing in my rapture, oh, glory to God for such a Redeemer is mine!

When clothed in His brightness, transported I rise to meet Him in clouds of the sky, His perfect salvation, His wonderful love, I’ll shout with the millions on high.

He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock that shadows a dry, thirsty land; He hideth my life in the depths of His love, and covers me there with His hand, and covers me there with His hand.”

Trust in The Lord

Trust in The Lord

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all  your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6. God doesn’t look at things as we see them. He sees things as they are. He looks at our hearts while we tend to look on the outside appearance, and our judgments are based on the physical. God looks at things from a spiritual perspective. If we trust in God, there is no reason to be afraid. He will guide and direct us. He will protect us.

Lyrics by Thomas O. Chisholm, arranged by Wendell P. Loveless

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart,” This is God’s gracious command; “in all thy ways acknowledge Him, so shalt thou dwell in the land.”

“Trust in the Lord” who rules all, see all things as they are, be it a birdling in its nest, or yonder the uttermost star.

“Trust in the Lord” and peaceful be, fret not thy spirit in vain, what though the answer tarries long, still shall thou praise Him again.

“Trust in the Lord” His eye will guide all through the pathway ahead, He has redeemed and He will keep, Trust Him and be not afraid.

“Trust in the Lord,” O troubled soul, rest in the arms of His care; Whatever thy lot, it matters not, for nothing can trouble thee there; “Trust in the Lord,” O troubled soul, nothing can trouble thee there.

Trusting Jesus

Trusting Jesus

What does it mean to trust in God? It means believing that God Loves us and He wants the very best for us. It means that whether we are in the midst of a storm, or in the process of falling away from our relationship with Jesus, that God is still there, always will be and is waiting for us to come back to Him and trust Him that the storm will soon pass and He is with you in it. It means He will guide and direct us through our paths of life. Trusting that all things work out for the good for those who trust Him.

Lyrics by Edgar P. Stites, arranged by Ira D. Sankey

“Simply trusting every day, trusting through a stormy way; Even when my faith is small, trusting Jesus, that is all.

Brightly does His Spirit shine into this pour heart of mine; While He leads I cannot fail, trusting Jesus, that is all.

Singing if my way is clear; Praying if the path be drear; If in danger, for Him call; Trusting Jesus, that is all.

Trusting Him while life shall last, trusting Him till earth be past; Till within the jasper wall, trusting Jesus, that is all.

Trusting as the moments fly, trusting as the days go by; Trusting Him whatever befall, trusting Jesus, that is all.”

Rock of Ages

Rock of Ages

Jesus is our rock; He alone can hide us and keep us safe. He alone can cleanse us with His blood. There is nothing He needs, nothing we can do that will keep Him from loving us and He alone can give us grace. We must give ourselves to Him so that we can reach His throne. He alone can save us from our guilt and shame.

Lyrics by Augustus M. Toplady, arranged by Thomas Hastings

“Rock of Ages, cleft for me, let me hide myself in Thee; let the water and the blood, from Thy riven side which flowed. Be of sin the double cure, save me from its guilt and power.

Not the labors of my hands can fulfill Thy law’s demands; could my zeal no respite know, could my tears forever flow, all for sin could not atone; Thou must save, and Thou alone.

Nothing in my hand I bring, simply to Thy cross I cling; Naked, come to Thee for dress; Helpless, look to Thee for grace; Foul, I to the fountain fly, wash me, Savior or I die!

While I draw this fleeting breath, when mine eyes shall close in death, when I soar to worlds unknown, see Thee on Thy judgment throne. Rock of Ages, cleft for me, let me hide myself in Thee.

I Am Trusting Thee, Lord Jesus

I Am Trusting Thee, Lord Jesus

We don’t know why bad things happen in this world, but we can trust that Jesus will make it good. Sin came into this world with Adam and Eve, and it is here to stay until Jesus comes again to make it right. He died on the cross taking away our sins. Some, however, don’t recognize His sacrifice and go on doing horrible things. God allows awful things to happen so that we might turn to Him and accept His mercy and grace. Mankind lives upon their own understanding, but God says “not to lean upon your own understanding”. God’s ways are not man’s ways, but you can trust Him that He has a good plan for all of us and those plans are for our best interest. Don’t judge Him by what happens in the world but judge Him by all the good He has done for you. We may be in the world, but we don’t have to be of the world. Turn to God, and He will turn to you.

Lyrics by Frances R. Havergal, arranged by Ethelbert W. Bullinger

“I am trusting Thee, Lord Jesus! Trusting only Thee! Trusting Thee for full salvation, Great and free.

I am trusting Thee, Lord Jesus! At Thy feet I bow, For Thy grace and tender mercy, Trusting now!

I am trusting Thee to guide me; Thou alone shalt lead, every day and hour, supplying all I need.

I am trusting Thee, Lord Jesus! Never let me fall! I am trusting Thee forever, and for all.”

'Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus

‘Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus

It is not reality to believe that you can take everyone at their word. It’s not reality to believe that everyone keeps their promises. But there is one person that you can believe His words are truth and factual. That He keeps all His promises. Jesus alone can be trusted as your Savior and friend. He alone can give you peace that passes understanding. He alone can heal you of all your sicknesses, struggles and worries. Jesus will never leave you. He is always present and He loves you.

Lyrics by Louis M.R. Stead, arranged by William J. Kirkpatrick

“’Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus, just to take Him at His Word; just to rest upon His promise; Just to know, “Thou saith the Lord.”

O how sweet to trust in Jesus, just to trust His cleansing blood; Just in simple faith to plunge me ‘neath the healing, cleansing flood!

Yes, ‘tis sweet to trust in Jesus, just from sin and self to cease; Just from Jesus simply taking life and rest, and joy and peace.

I’m so glad I learned to trust Thee, Precious Jesus, Savior, Friend; And I know that Thou art with me, will be with me to the end.

Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him! How I’ve proved Him over and over! Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus! O for grace to trust Him more!

Jesus Revealed in Me

Jesus Revealed in Me

While we are walking on this earth, we must be mindful of how we present ourselves ,,to others. As an older woman, we must be good examples for the younger women. The same goes for an older man for the younger man. As a Christian, our example should be exemplary. When others look at us, they should be able to see Jesus in us. We are not perfect, but others can see if we are Godly or godless. They can see if we are trying to better ourselves or if we can care less. Let Jesus reign within you so others can see Him as we see Him.

Lyrics by Gipsy Smith, arranged by E. Edwin Young

“Christ, the Transforming Light, touches this heart of mine, piercing the darkest night, making His glory shine.

Here, Lord, I bring my heart, my love, my strength, my will; Cleanse me in every part, with all Thy Spirit fill.

Life is no longer mine; I yield it all to Thee; Fill me, that I may shine, until Thy face I see.

Triumphant peace is mine, now Jesus reigns within; He gives joy divine, and victory over sin.

Oh, to reflect His grace, causing the world to see love that will glow, till others shall know Jesus, revealed in me.”

I've Discovered the Way of Gladness

I’ve Discovered the Way of Gladness

Everyone is searching for something to make them happy, something that satisfies them. There is a void in a person’s life when they don’t know Jesus. It is a void that can only be filled with Jesus. We get to know Jesus by reading His Word, the Holy Scriptures. It is filled with good news of Jesus and if you put Him in each of the books of the Bible, you get to build a relationship with Jesus. When He says, “I will never leave you or forsake you” He fills that void.

Lyrics by Floyd W. Hawkins, arranged by Floyd W. Hawkins

“Mankind is searching every day in quest of something new, bu I have found the “living way,” The path of pleasures true.

I’ve  found the pearl of greatest price, “eternal life” so fair, Was through the Savior’s sacrifice, I found this jewel rare.

I’ve discovered the way of gladness, I’ve discovered the way of joy, I’ve discovered relief from sadness, it’s a happiness without alloy, I’ve discovered the fount of blessing, I’ve discovered the “Living Word,” Was the greatest of all discoveries, when I found Jesus my Lord.”

"Whosoever" Meaneth Me

"Whosoever” Meaneth Me

When Jesus says “Whosoever” will follow me, means you and I. We are invited to follow Jesus, to be with Him all day long. Not just for one day like we would a friend or visitor but to be with Him forever. No matter whether the weather is rainy, cloudy or otherwise, it should make us happy to say “I am with Jesus!” He is my Lord and Savior. We can honesty say, “I love Him because He first loved me.”

Lyrics by J. Edwin McConnell, arranged by J. Edwin McConnell

“I am happy today and the sun shines bright, the clouds have been rolled away; For the Savior said whosoever will, may come with Him to stay.

All my hopes have been raised, O His name be praised, His glory has filled my soul; I’ve been lifted up and from sin set free. His blood hath made me whole.

O what wonderful love, O what grace divine, that Jesus should die for me! I was lost in sin, for the world I pined, but now I am set free.

“Whosoever,” surely meaneth me, surely meaneth me, O surely meaneth me; “Whosoever,” surely meaneth me, “Whosoever,” meaneth me.”

Tell Me the Story of Jesus

Tell Me the Story of Jesus

This story has been told over the ages, and it has never grown old. We tell the story to our children, to our friends and family. We tell them about Jesus’ birth and how He lived a perfect life. We tell how others treated Him and the suffering He endured on earth. His own family was not supportive nor were the Israelites that God chose. We tell of the temptations that He faced and, in the end, we tell of the beginning. It ended in His death on the cross but began when He was resurrected and taken up to heaven.

Lyrics by Fanny J. Crosby, arranged by John R. Sweney

“Tell me the story of Jesus, write on my heart every word; Tell me the story most precious, sweetest that ever was heard. Tell how the angels, in chorus, sang as they welcomed His birth, “Glory to God in the highest! Peace and good tidings to earth.”

Fasting alone in the desert, tell of the days that are past, how for our sins He was tempted, yet was triumphant at last. Tell of the years of His labor, tell of the sorrow He bore, He was despised and afflicted, Homeless, rejected and poor.

Tell of the cross where they nailed Him, writhing in anguish and pain; Tell of the grave where they laid Him, Tell how He liveth again. Love in that story so tender, clearer than ever I see; Stay, let me weep while you whisper, Love paid the ransom for me.

Tell me the story of Jesus, write on my heart every word; Tell me the story most precious, sweetest that ever was heard.”

Must I Go, and Empty handed?

Must I Go, and Empty Handed?

Are you wasting your life in sinning and not turning to God? Have you fled from God and wasted your life in doing your own thing? At one time I believe we have all done that and now we wish we could bring back those days and have a do-over. We can’t have a do-over but we can have a revival in our life and come back stronger and better than ever. We can serve God and others and win souls for the Lord. We want to go to heaven and be with Jesus, but we don’t want to go empty handed. We want to bring others with us.

Lyrics by Charles C. Luther, arranged by George C. Stebbins

“Must I go, and empty-handed,” Thus my dear Redeemer meet? Not one day of service give Him, lay no trophy at His feet?

Not at death I shrink nor falter, for my Savior saves me now; But to meet Him empty-handed, thought of that now clouds my brow.

O the years in sinning wasted, could I but recall them now, I would give them to my Savior, to His will I’d gladly bow.

O ye saints, arouse, be earnest, up and work while yet this day; Ere the night of death overtakes thee, strive for souls while still you may.

“Must I go, and empty-handed?” Must I meet my Savior so? Not one soul with which to greet Him; Must I empty-handed go?”

Sweeter as the Years Go By

Sweeter as the Years Go By

As Christians, we mature in our walk with Christ.  We realize how much Christ loves us and we can see how He saved us from our sins. As the Christians in the old days when Jesus walked this earth, the more time we spend with Christ, the more we want to know. We don’t see the miracles that Christians saw when He walked in Jerusalem, but we know they still happen. Every story we hear makes Christianity worth living. Sweeter as the years go by.

Lyrics by Leila N. Morris, arranged by Leila N. Morris

“Of Jesus’ love that sought me, when I was lost in sin; of wondrous grace that brought me back to His fold again; Of heights and depths of mercy, far deeper than the sea. And higher than the heavens, my theme shall ever be.

He trod in old Judea life’s pathway long ago; The people thronged about Him, His saving grace to know; He healed the broken-hearted and caused the blind to see; and still His great heart yearns in love for even me.

‘Twas wondrous love which led Him for us to suffer loss- to bear without a murmur the anguish of the cross; With saints redeemed in glory, let us our voices raise, till heaven and earth re-echo with our Redeemer’s praise.

Sweeter as the years go by. Sweeter as the years go by, Jesus’ love is sweeter, sweeter as the years go by.

Jesus Loves Even Me

Jesus Loves Even Me

The Bible tells of God’s love through His words, through Jesus’ example and through the disciples’ teachings. We may wonder why God loves us, especially when we look back at our past failures. What kind of God must He be to love such a sinner as I? It is because He is a gracious God, and forgives us of our sins, both past and present. We can put our faith and trust in God and know that He loves us unconditionally.

Lyrics by Philip P. Bliss, arranged by Philip P. Bliss

“I am so glad that our Father in heaven tells of His love in the book He has given, wonderful things in the Bible I see; this is the dearest that Jesus loves me.

Though I forget Him and wander away, still He does love me wherever I stray; Back to His dear loving arms would I flee, when I remember that Jesus loves me.

Oh, if there’s only one song I can sing, when in His beauty I see the Great King, this shall my song in eternity be; “Oh, what a wonder that Jesus loves me!”

I am so glad that Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me, Jesus loves even me.”

Since the Fullness of His Love Came in

Since the Fullness of His Love Came In

What a sinner Paul was. He persecuted Christians before God’s fullness of love came upon Him. Then there was King David, boy did he get in trouble a few times, yet God called him a man after His own heart. What a sinner I was, a troubled life I lived until the fullness of God’s love overcame me. Can’t you feel it? God’s loving arms around you, knowing you made poor choices in your life, yet He is there to comfort you and bless you with His grace. We love God because He first loved us.

Lyrics by Eliza E. Hewitt, arranged by Bentley D. Ackley

“Once my way was dark and dreary, for my heart was full of sin, but the sky is bright and cheery, since the fullness of His love came in.

There is grace for all the lowly, grace to keep the trusting soul; Power to cleanse and make me holy, Jesus shall my yielded life control.

Let me spread abroad the story, other souls to Jesus win; For the cross is now my glory, since the fullness of His love came in.

I can never tell how much I love Him, I can never tell His love for me; for it passes human measure, like a deep, unfathomed sea; Tis redeeming love in Christ my Savior, in my soul the heavenly joys begin; and I live for Jesus only, since the fullness of His love came in.”

Since I Have Been Redeemed

Since I Have Been Redeemed

Christ redeemed our sins for His death. It’s because of this Redemption that all our needs are satisfied and we are compelled to do His will.  We have been redeemed and have become His children, and He is making a way for us to be with Him in heaven. Not all of creation are God’s children. Satan also has his children. If you have a relationship with Christ and worship God only, then you are part of His family.

Lyrics by Edwin O. Excell, arranged by Edwin O. Excell

“I have a song I love to sing, since I have been redeemed, of my Redeemer, Savior, King, since I have been redeemed.

I have a Christ that satisfies, since I have been redeemed, to do His will my highest prize, since I have been redeemed.

I have a witness bright and clear, since I have been redeemed, dispelling every doubt and fear, since I have been redeemed.

I have a home prepared for me, since I have been redeemed, where I shall dwell eternally, since I have been redeemed.

Since I have been redeemed, since I have been redeemed, I will glory in His name; Since I have been redeemed, I will glory in my Savior’s name.

Now I Belong to Jesus

Now I Belong to Jesus

I am so glad to belong to Jesus and He cares for me. We all want to belong, whether it is to someone or in a situation, God has us covered when we accept Him as our Lord and Savior. When Jesus died, He claimed His followers as His own and now He is preparing a room for all His children to live with Him in heaven. No more shame or sorrow, no more aches and pains, no evil surrounding us. Why wouldn’t you want to belong to Jesus?

Lyrics by Norman J. Clayton, arranged by Norman J. Clayton

“Jesus my Lord will love me forever, from Him no power of evil can sever, He gave His life to ransom my soul, now I belong to Him.

Once I was lost in sin’s degradation, Jesus came down to bring me salvation, lifted me up from sorrow and shame, now I belong to Him.

Joy floods my soul for Jesus has saved me, freed me from sin that long had enslaved me, His precious blood He gave to redeem me, Now I belong to Him.

Now I belong to Jesus, Jesus belongs to me. Not for the years of time alone, but for eternity.”

Saved!

Saved!

I am saved by the blood of Christ; my sins are all forgiven. I have accepted Christ as my Savior and am daily building a relationship with Jesus. I am not saved because I am a good person or have done good deeds. I am not saved because I am worthy because I am not. But I am saved because of God’s grace and His wondrous love for me. You too can be saved but you must know Jesus. He is the way and no one can come to God without coming to Jesus first. Surrender yourself to Jesus and let Him lead you home.

Lyrics by Oswald J. Smith, arranged by Roger M. Hickman

“Saved! Saved! Saved! My sins are all forgiven; Christ is mine! I’m on my way to heaven, once a guilty sinner, lost, undone, now a child of God, saved through His Son.

Saved! Saved! Saved! By grace and grace alone, Oh, what wondrous love to me was shown, in my stead Christ Jesus bled and died, bore my sins, for me was crucified.

Saved! Saved! Saved! Oh, joy beyond compare! Christ my life and I His constant care; Yielding all and trusting Him alone, living now each moment as His own.

Saved! I’m saved through Christ, my all in all, Saved! I’m saved, whatever may befall; He died upon the cross for me, He bore the awful penalty; and now I’m saved eternally, I’m saved! Saved! Saved!

We'll Work till Jesus Comes

We’ll Work till Jesus Comes

I’ve been told many a time to slow down. I work too hard. It is true, when I see something that needs done, I do it, and don’t sleep until it is done. Jesus worked much too but He knew when to rest. That is something I still need to learn to do. I love serving the Lord, and serving the people that God puts before me. Someday, I will get complete rest and am looking forward to lying in God’s arms. Until then I will do all I can to glorify God, by completing His ministry and please Him by getting the rest that I need to keep His temple strong and healthy.

Lyrics by Elizabeth Mills , arranged by William Miller

“O land of rest, for thee I sigh! When will the moment come? When I shall lay my armor by, and dwell in peace at home!

To Jesus Christ I fled for rest; He bade me cease to roam and lean for succor on His breast till He conduct me home.

I sought at once my Savior’s side, no more my steps shall roam; With Him I’ll brave death’s schilling tide and reach my heavenly home.

We’ll work till Jesus comes, we’ll work till Jesus come; and we’ll be gathered home.”

O Happy Day

O Happy Day

Yesterday, many eons ago, Jesus went to the cross and died for you and I. I hate the fact that Jesus thought it best to die for you and I,  but I delight in knowing He loved us so much to do so. He died so He could take away our sins, He died to forgive us and for us to forgive others. O Happy Day that He didn’t stay in the grave but arose so that we too can rise from the grave and be with Him in heaven.

Lyrics by Philip Doddridge, arranged by Edward F. Rimbault

“O Happy day that fixed my choice on Thee, My Savior and my God! Well may this glowing heart rejoice and tell its raptures all abroad.

O happy bond, that seals my vows to Him who merits all my love! Let cheerful anthems fill this house, while to that sacred shrine I move.

Tis done: the great transactions done; I am my Lord’s and He is mine; He drew me and I followed on, charmed to confess the voice divine.

Now rest, my long-divided heart; Fixed on this blissful center, rest; Nor ever from my Lord depart, with Him of every good possessed.

Happy day, happy day, When Jesus washed my sins away! He taught me how to watch and pray, and live rejoicing every day. Happy day, Happy day, since Jesus took my sins away.

Oh, How I Love Jesus!

Oh, How I Love Jesus

I Love to hear gospel music, especially when it is acapella. I love to sing and hear music about Jesus and what He has and can do for us. He brings encouragement through the music we sing. He lets us know that He will always take care of us in our good times and our bad. The music we sing tells us of His love for us. What a comfort that is!

Lyrics by Frederick Whitfield, arranged by Traditional Melody

“There is a name I love to hear, I love to sing its worth; It sounds like music in mine ear, the sweetest name on earth.

It tells me of a Savior’s love, who died to set me free; it tells me of His precious blood, the sinner’s perfect plea.

It tells me what my Father hath in store for every day, and though I tread a darksome path, yields sunshine all the way.

It tells of One whose loving heart can feel my deepest woe; Who in each sorrow bears a par, that none can bear below.

Oh, how I love Jesus, Oh, How I love Jesus, Oh, how I love Jesus, because He first loved me.”

Only a Sinner

Only a Sinner

Some of the problems we have in life, we bring on ourselves. Other problems comes because God has a lesson for us to learn. If we believe in God, then we receive an abundance of grace. Not that we deserve it but because God wants to give it. We have all gone our own way many times and parted from God’s ways. God waits for us to come back to Him so He can gift us with His grace. Never fear an all- encompassing love from God. He’s got more than His grace to share with us. He has a heavenly kingdom that He wants us all to see.

Lyrics by James M. Gray, arranged by Daniel B. Towner

“Naught have I gotten but what I received; Grace hath bestowed it since I have believed; Boasting excluded pride I abase; I’m only a sinner saved by grace!

Once I was foolish, and sin ruled my heart, causing my footsteps from God to depart; Jesus hath found me happy my cause; I now am a sinner saved by grace!

Tears unavailing, no merit had I; Mercy had saved me, or else I must die; Sin had alarmed me fearing God’s face; But now I’m a sinner saved by grace!

Suffer a sinner whose heart overflows, loving his Savior to tell what He knows; Once more to tell it would I embrace, I’m only a sinner saved by grace!

Only a sinner saved by grace! Only a sinner saved by grace! This is my story, to God be the glory, I’m only a sinner saved by grace!

No, Not One!

No, Not One!

Jesus is not only our friend, but also our teacher, our comforter. Our great physician. He’s our confidant, and our protector. He is the light that lights our way and guide and directs us. He invites us to join Him in heaven and will never leave us while we are here on earth.

Lyrics by Johnson Oatman, Jr., arranged by George C. Hugg

“There’s not a friend like the lowly Jesus, no, not one! No, not one! None else could heal all our soul’s diseases, no, not one! No, not one!

No friend like Him is so high and holy, No, not one! No, not one! And yet no friend is so meek and lowly, no, not one! No, not one!

There’s not an hour that He is not near us, No, not one! No, not one! No night so dark but His love can cheer us, no, not one! No, not one!

Did ever saint find this friend forsake him? No, not one! No, not one! Or sinner find that He would not take him? No, not one! No, not one!

Was ever a gift like the Savior given? No, not one! No, not one! Will He refuse us a home in heaven? No, not one! No, not one!

Jesus knows all about our struggles, He will guide till the day is done; There’s not a friend like the lowly Jesus, No, not one! No, not one!
