Under His Wings

Under His Wings

When we have Jesus, we can safely rest under His wings. He will shelter us from the storms. We need not be afraid when we put our trust in Jesus. He will calm our fears and comfort us in our sorrows. He will shelter us and keep us safe forevermore.

Lyrics by William O. Cushing, arranged by Ira D. Sankey

“Under His wings I am safely abiding; Though the night deepens and tempests are wild, still I can trust Him; I know He will keep me; He has redeemed me, and I am His child.

Under His wings, what a refuge in sorrow! How the heart yearningly turns to His rest! Often when earth has no balm for my healing, There I find comfort, and there I am blest.

Under His wings, O what precious enjoyment! There will I hide till life’s trials are over; Sheltered, protected, no evil can harm me; Resting in Jesus I’m safe evermore.

Under His wings, under His wings, who from His love can sever? Under His wings my soul shall abide, safely abide forever.”

The Solid Rock

The Solid Rock

Christ is the only solid rock you can stand on without sinking in the mire of your sin. His grace is everlasting and never changes. He is the One who can change your darkness into light and support you in your overwhelming moments. He keeps His promise to never leave you or forsake you, He is your hope and your invitation to answer Him when the trumpet sounds to find His children faultless before the throne.

Lyrics by Edward Mote, arranged by William B. Bradbury

“My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness; I dare not trust the sweetest frame but wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

When darkness veils His lovely face, I rest on His unchanging grace; In every high and stormy gale, my anchor holds within the veil.

His oath, His covenant, His blood support me in the whelming flood; When all around my soul gives way, He then is all my hope and stay.

When He shall come with trumpet sound, oh, may I then in Him be found; Dressed in His righteousness alone, faultless to stand before the throne.

On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand; All other ground is sinking sand, all other ground is sinking sand.

Don't Turn the Savior Away

Don’t Turn the Savior Away

Why would you turn away someone so loving and kind that can offer you comfort and protection? The only alternative is to live for satan, which also means living for self. Your life might seem good with all your habits, but those are fleeting and they will not save you for eternal life. The choice is always yours but if you decide now to keep on living with your worldly values, it may be too late, later to turn to your Savior. Please don’t turn the Savior away.

Lyrics by Harry D. Clarke, arranged by Harry D. Clarke

“The Savior is calling, is calling for you, in accents so tender, so loving and true, how can you refuse Him? O heed His sweet call! O don’t turn the Savior away.

The savior is calling, why turn Him away? Sin’s burden is heavy, why longer delay? O heart full of sorrow, there’s comfort today; O, don’t turn the Savior away.

The Savior is calling, O, can it be true that life everlasting is waiting for you? Come now and receive Him to satan say nay, O, don’t turn the Savior away.

The Savior is calling from Calvary’s cross, where He died to save you at infinite cost, His heart there was broken for you and for me; O, don’t turn the Savior away.

Don’t turn the Savior away from your heart, don’t turn the Savior away from your heart; O hear Him pleading, O listen to His call, O, don’t turn the Savior away.

Saving the Lost

Saving the Lost

“Mark 16:15 “Go you therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.” We are told to seek the lost and bring them to Jesus. There are still many people in this world, whether in your homeland or across the nation, that don’t know Jesus. It is God’s plan and our opportunity to show them who Jesus is and teach them His ways.

Lyrics by William A. Ogden, arranged by William A. Ogden

“Seeking the lost, yes, kindly entreating wanderers on the mountain astray; “Come unto Me,” His message repeating, words of the Master speaking today.

Seeking the lost and pointing to Jesus souls that are weak and hearts that are sore, leading them forth in ways of salvation, showing the path to life evermore.

Thus, I would go on missions of mercy, following Christ from day unto day, cheering the faint and raising the fallen, pointing the lost to Jesus the Way.

Going afar upon the mountain, bringing the wanderer back again, back again. Into the fold of my Redeemer, into the fold of My redeemer, Jesus, the Lamb for sinners slain, for sinners slain.

Come to the Feast

Come to the Feast

John 14:3 “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” Christ has invited us into His home, and He has a table spread like none other. All who are hungry and thirsty for His word are welcome. There is a place for you beside the Master. If you wait too long, you will miss out. Leave all your worries behind and soak up His love. He offers a door wide open to everlasting life.

Lyrics by Charles H. Gabriel, arranged by William A. Ogden

“All things are ready,” come to the feast! Come for the table now is spread; Ye famishing, ye weary come, and thou shall be richly fed.

“All things are ready,” come to the feast! Come for the door is open wide; A place of honor is reserved for you at the Master’s side.

“All things are ready,” come to the feast! Come, while He waits to welcome you; Delay not while the day is thine, tomorrow may never be.

“All things are ready,” come to the feast! Leave every care and worldly strife; Come, feast upon the Love of God, and drink everlasting life.

Hear the invitation, come whosoever will; praise God for full salvation, for “whosoever will.”

What Will You do with Jesus?

What Will You do With Jesus?

If you had been at Jesus’ trial, what would you have done? Would you have denied Him like Peter, would you have mocked Him and said He must be guilty since He is on trial? Would you have stood by His side to the bitter end like Mary. What would you do with Jesus? Jesus was perfect, there was no sin in Him. His trial was so that He could be condemned so that He would take away our sins. Would you deny Him or would you praise Him for loving you so much?

Lyrics by Author Unknown, arranged by M. L. Stocks

“Jesus is standing in Pilate’s hall, friendless, forsaken, betrayed by all; Hearken! What means the sudden call! What will you do with Jesus?

Jesus is standing on trial still, you can be false to Him if you will, you can be faithful through good or ill; What will you do with Jesus?

Will you evade Him as Pilate tried? Or will you choose Him, whatever betide? Vainly you struggle from Him to hide; What will you do with Jesus?

Will you like Peter, your Lord deny? Or will you scorn from His foes to fly. Daring for Jesus to live or die? What will you do with Jesus?”

“Jesus, I give Thee my heart today! Jesus, I’ll follow Thee all the way, Gladly obeying Thee!” will you say; “This will I do with Jesus!”

What will you do with Jesus? Neutral you cannot be; Some day your heart will be asking, “What will He do with me?”

Softly and Tenderly, Jesus is Calling

Softly and Tenderly, Jesus is Calling

Jesus is not going to force us to do anything. He has always given us a choice. He stands willing and ready to accept you as one of His own. He calls us softly and tenderly. He does not demand us to follow Him. Time is getting short though and we must decide now and forever if we are going to serve Him or serve our self. The choice is ours. He is pleading with you that you don’t wait too long.

Lyrics by Will L. Thompson, arranged by Will L. Thompson

“Softly and tenderly, Jesus is calling, calling for you and for me; See, on the portals He’s watching and waiting, watching for you and for me.

Why should we tarry when Jesus is pleading, pleading for you and for me? Why should we linger and heed not His mercies, mercies for you and for me?

Time is now fleeting, the moments are passing, passing from you and from me; Shadows are gathering, deathbeds are coming, coming for you and for me.

Oh! For the wonderful love He has promised, promised for you and for me; Though, we have sinned, He has mercy and pardon, pardon for you and for me.

Come home, come home, you who are weary, come home; Earnestly, tenderly, Jesus is calling, calling, O sinner, come home!

"Whosoever Will"

“Whosoever Will”

Whoever hears the Word of God may be inclined to share it with others. Who wouldn’t want to spread the good news? It is for everyone and it is the road to salvation. Whoever comes to God, must not delay for Jesus is the only way to reach God. It means an eternity in heaven with our Heavenly Father.

Lyrics by Philip P. Bliss, arranged by Philip P. Bliss

“Whosoever hears,” shout, shout the sound! Spread the blessed tidings all the world around; Tell the joyful news wherever man is found.

Whosoever comes, need not delay, now the door is open, enter while you may; Jesus is the true, the only Living Way.

“Whosoever will,” the promise is secure; “Whosoever will,” forever must endure; “Whosoever will,” tis life for evermore;

“Whosoever will may come,” “Whosoever will, whosoever will!” send the proclamation over vale and hill’ Tis a loving Father calls the wanderer home; “Whosoever will may come.”

Why Not Now?

                                                Why Not Now?

Today is your last day. You haven’t accepted God’s grace yet. You have wandered so far away from God, you may be thinking there is no hope left. What a troubled mind you have, and there is no peace in it. Why risk your last minutes when God is offering to pardon you of all your sins. Trust in Him, He offers peace and joy and a heavenly home to spend eternity in. Why not now? Come to Jesus now. Confess your sins and give yourself to Him. Receive Him now.

Lyrics by Daniel W. Whittle, arranged by Charles C. Case

“While we pray and while we plead, while you see your soul’s deep need, while our Father calls you home, will you not, my brother come?

You have wandered far away; Do not risk another day; Do not turn from God thy face but today accept His grace.

In this world you failed to find aught of peace for troubled mind; Come to Christ, on Him believe, peace and joy you shall receive.

Come to Christ, confession make; come to Christ, and pardon take; Trust in Him from day to day, He will keep you all the way.

Why not now? Why not now? Why not come to Jesus now? Why not now? Why not now? Why not come to Jesus now?

Give Me Thy Heart

                                                Give Me Thy Heart

God says, “Give me your heart.” God gave us His heart when He gave us His Son. In return, He wants us to give Him our heart. Our heart is where love resides. When we give love to God, we surrender all our past sins and desires to Him. He gave us everything that we have and He wants us to give our all to Him. Our gracious, merciful God is wanting your love. He doesn’t need it, but He freely gives us His love, so shall we freely give our love to Him.

Lyrics by Eliza E. Hewitt, arranged by William J. Kirkpatrick

“Give my thy heart, “says the Father above, no gift so precious to Him as our love, softly He whispers wherever thou are, “gratefully trust me, and give me thy heart.”

“Give me thy heart, “says the Savior of men, calling in mercy again and again; “turn now from sin, and from evil depart, have I not died for thee? Give me thy heart.

“Give me thy heart, “says the Spirit divine, “all that thou hast, to my keeping resign; Grace more abounding is mine to impart, make full surrender and give me thy heart.”

“Give me thy heart, give me thy heart,” Hear the soft whisper, wherever thou are; from this dark world He would draw thee apart, speaking so tenderly, “Give me thy heart.”

Almost Persuaded

                                                Almost Persuaded

Why aren’t you persuaded to follow Jesus? Don’t wait for your life to get better, make it better now. God will forgive your sins so don’t wait until you can conquer them on your own. It can’t be done. God is your helper and will conquer your struggles if only you let go and let Him. There is no time like the present, waiting may cost you your eternity in Heaven. Arms open wide, Jesus beckons you to come to Him and accept Him. Believe in Him, He will set you free.

Lyrics by Philip P. Bliss, arranged by Philip P. Bliss

“Almost persuaded” now to believe; “Almost persuaded,” Christ to receive; Seems now some soul to say, “Go, Spirit, go Thy way, some more convenient day on Thee I’ll call.

“Almost persuaded” come, come today; “Almost persuaded,” turn not away; Jesus invites you here, Angels are lingering near, prayers rise from hearts so dear, O wanderer come.

“Almost persuaded,” harvest is past! “Almost persuaded,” doom comes at last! “Almost” cannot avail; “Almost” is but to fail! Sad, Sad that bitter wail, “Almost,” but lost.”

Close To Thee

                                                Close To Thee

Throughout our ministry for Christ, whether it be easy or hard, the only way it can be done to glorify our Savior is to walk with Him. It is not for self or popularity, but for Jesus Christ alone. He is the one that gives us strength and will power to do whatever He plans for us. Let His will be done in us and in whatever we do, may we do it to glorify Him and in a manner pleasing unto Him.

Lyrics by Fanny J. Crosby, arranged by Silas J. Vail

“Thou, my everlasting portion, more than friend or life to me; all along my pilgrim journey, Savior, let me walk with Thee.

Not for ease or worldly pleasure, nor for fame my prayer shall be; gladly will I toil and suffer, only let me walk with Thee.

Lead me through the vale of shadows, bear me over life’s fitful sea; Then the gate of life eternal may I enter, Lord, with Thee.

Close to Thee, close to Thee, Close to Thee, close to Thee.

My Jesus, I Love Thee

My Jesus, I Love Thee

No amount of words can express how much I Love Jesus. Can you imagine the amount of suffering He went through just to take away our sins and offer us forgiveness? He didn’t do this just for you or just for me, but for every being on the planet. For every sin committed He offered up His blood. For every small sin and every gigantic sin. It was all the same to Him. Sin is sin. What a gracious Redeemer! It’s because He loves us so much, that we show our love in return.

Lyrics by William R. Featherstone, arranged by Adoniram J. Gordon

“My Jesus, I love Thee, I know thou are mine, for Thee all the follies of sin I resign; My gracious Redeemer, my Savior art Thou; If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, it’s now.

I love Thee because Thou has first loved me and purchased my pardon on Calvary’s tree; I love Thee for wearing the thorns on Thy brow, if ever I loved Thee, my Jesus it’s now.

I’ll love Thee in life, I will love Thee in death and praise Thee as long as Thou lends me breath; And say when the death-dew lies cold on my brow, if ever I loved Thee, my Jesus it’s now.

In mansions of glory and endless delight, I’ll ever adore Thee in heaven so bright; I’ll sing with the glittering crown on my brow, if ever I loved Thee, my Jesus it’s now.

He Keeps Me Singing

He Keeps Me Singing

I may not be a good singer, but I love to sing within my heart. There is always a song in my mind. It is not just some random song but a song that will put Christ in my heart. It makes you think and before long you are creating a lesson to be shared. That is one reason I started doing posts on songs from my Hymnal. I wanted to put a song in your heart so that you can grow from it and share it with others. Happy Singing!

Lyrics by Luther R. Bridgers, arranged by Luther R. Bridgers

“There’s within my heart a melody Jesus whispers sweet and low, fear not, I am with thee, peace, be still, in all of life’s ebb and flow.

All my life was wrecked by sin and strife, discord filled my heart with pain, Jesus swept across the broken strings, stirred the slumbering chords again.

Feasting on the riches of His grace, resting beneath His sheltering wing, always looking on His smiling face, that is why I shout and sing.

Though sometimes He leads through waters deep, trials fall across the way, though sometimes the path seems rough and steep, see His footprints all the way.

Soon He’s coming back to welcome me far beyond the starry sky; I shall wing my flight to worlds unknown; I shall reign with Him on high.

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, sweetest name I know, fills my every longing, keeps me singing as I go. Amen.”

Jesus, I Come

                                                            Jesus, I Come

Are you a slave to sin? Are you stuck in a state of pride or self-indulgence? Do you fall into the trap of gossiping or shameful behavior? Come to Jesus, come into His light, bend yourself to His will, do not be afraid of dying. Jesus is there, waiting for you. Come to Jesus, He will bless you and love you unconditionally.

Lyrics by William T. Sleeper, arranged by George C. Stebbins

“Out of my bondage, sorrow and night, Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come; Into thy freedom, gladness and light, Jesus, I come to Thee; Out of my sickness into Thy health, out of my want and into Thy wealth, Out of my sin and into Thyself, Jesus, I come to Thee.

Out of my shameful failure and loss, Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come; Into the glorious gain of Thy cross, Jesus, I come to Thee; Out of earth’s sorrows into Thy balm, Out of life’s storms and into Thy calm, Out of distress to jubilant Psalm, Jesus, I come to Thee.

Out of unrest and arrogant pride, Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come; Into the blessed will to abide, Jesus, I come to Thee; Out of my self to dwell in Thy love, out of despair into raptures above, upward for aye on wings like a dove, Jesus, I come to Thee.

Out of the fear and dread of the tomb, Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come; Into the joy and light of Thy home, Jesus, I come to Thee; Out of the depths of ruin untold, Into the peace of Thy sheltering fold, ever Thy glorious face to behold, Jesus, I come to Thee.

The Rock That is Higher Than I

The Rock That is Higher Than I

Sometimes we are faced with hard days that seem long and tiresome to us. We get weary and question whether our struggles are worth the effort. Life can be frustrating; Life can be challenging. Life can be long and seemingly impossible. We need strength and patience. We need someone to look over us and bring comfort to us. There is one person who is stronger than you and I. This song refers to Him as the Rock. Jesus Christ is our Rock and we can draw strength and comfort from Him. He is waiting, reach out to Him.

Lyrics by Erastus Johnson, arranged by William G. Fischer

“O sometimes the shadows are deep, and rough seems the path to the goal. And sorrows, sometimes how they sweep like tempests down over the soul!

O sometimes how long seems the day, and sometimes how weary my feet. But toiling in life’s dusty way, the Rock’s blessed shadow, how sweet!

O near to the Rock let me keep, if blessings or sorrows prevail; Or climbing the mountain way steep or walking the shadowy vale.

O then to the Rock let me fly, to the Rock that is higher than I; O then to the Rock let me fly, to the Rock that is higher than I!”

God Will Take Care of You

God Will Take Care of You

No matter if you are down on your luck or you’re having relationship issues. God will take care of you. God always provides and He will always fight your fights for you. All you have to do is ask Him and then get out of His way. Are you in danger? God offers protection. Are you heavy burdened with health issues or grievances. God offers comfort. No matter where you are or what you are doing, God will take care of you.

Lyrics by Civilla D. Martin, arranged by W. Stillman Martin

“Be not dismayed whatever betide, God will take care of you; Beneath His wings of love abide, God will take care of you.

Through days of toil when heart doth fail, God will take care of you; When dangers fierce your path assail, God will take care of you.

All you may need He will provide, God will take care of you; Nothing you ask will be denied, God will take care of you.

No matter what may be the test, God will take care of you; Lean, weary one, upon His breast, God will take care of you.

God will take care of you, through every day, Over all the way; He will take care of you, God will take care of you.”

Leaning on The Everlasting Arms

                                Leaning On the Everlasting Arms

Just knowing Jesus is always there for us to lean on should give us peace. When we have a relationship with Jesus, it is a joyful fellowship. There is nothing to dread or fear and things always look brighter when we lean on Jesus’ arms.

Lyrics by Elisha A. Hoffman, arranged by Anthony J. Showalter

“What a fellowship, what a joy divine, leaning on the everlasting arms; what a blessedness, what a peace is mine, leaning on the everlasting arms.

Oh, how sweet to walk in this pilgrim way, leaning on the everlasting arms; Oh, how bright the path grows from day to day, leaning on the everlasting arms.

What have I to dread, what have I fear, leaning on the everlasting arms? I have blessed peace with my Lord so near, leaning on the everlasting arms.

Leaning, leaning, Safe and secure from all alarms; leaning, leaning, leaning on the everlasting arms.”

Each Step I Take

                                                    Each Step I Take

Every morning we wake up a little closer to heaven. We have good days and we have bad days. It’s not the day itself that will decide whether it is a good day or a bad day, but it’s our reactions to those things that go awry. We must determine whether we will live under the circumstances or above the circumstances. When we allow troubles to take us down, then things will only get worse. It we have faith and trust in our Lord and Savior, we learn to live above the circumstances and things will always work out better.

Lyrics by W. Elmo Mercer, arranged by W. Elmo Mercer

“Each step I take my Savior goes before me, and with His loving hand He leads the way. And with each breath I whisper, “I adore Thee;” Oh, what joy to walk with Him each day.

At times I feel my faith begin to waver, when up ahead I see a chasm wide. It’s then I turn and look up to my Savior, I am strong when He is by my side.

O trust in God, no matter come what may, for life eternal is in His hand. He holds the key that opens up the way. That will lead me to the promised land.

Each step I take I know that He will guide me; To higher ground He ever leads me on. Until some day the last step will be taken. Each step I take just leads me closer home.

Blessed Assurance

                                                Blessed Assurance

It is a blessed assurance knowing that Jesus is mine. I can claim Him without any hesitance. He shows us what heaven is like, simply because His example and character depict heaven. As a Christian we can claim that we were born in His Spirit and washed in His blood. I think of being raptured often and what it will be like to worship at God’s feet. I will surely be happy and blessed, so I go on watching and waiting for the angels to come and take me home to worship the one I Love.

Lyrics by Fanny J. Crosby, arranged by Phoebe P. Knapp

“Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine! Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine! Heir of salvation, purchase of God, born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.

Perfect submission, perfect delight, visions of rapture now burst on my sight; Angel’s descending, bring from above echoes of mercy, whispers of love.

Perfect submission, all is at rest, I in my Savior am happy and blest; Watching and waiting, looking above, filled with His goodness, lost in His love.

This is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior all the day long; This is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior all the day long.”

When I See My Savior

                                            When I See My Savior

When Jesus died upon the cross, he didn’t just die for one person, not just for you, not just for me. He died for every person in the world. From the kindest to the cruelest, He gave His life so that we may live. He shed His blood so that we can be forgiven of our sins. What a burden for one person to bear. And what a burden for His mother to see. When we wander away from Jesus, we need to remember how He suffered for us and come back to the comfort of His arms.

Lyrics by Maud Frazer, arranged by Robert Harkness

“When I see my Savior, hanging on Calvary, bearing there for sinners’ bittersweet agony, gratitude overwhelms me, makes mine eyes grow dim, all my ransomed being captive is to Him.

I can see the blood drops, red beneath His thorny crown, from the cruel nail wounds now they are falling down; Lord, when I would wander from Thy love away, let me see those blood drops shed for me that day.

“Why has thou forsaken!” list to that sad, sad moan! Oh, His heart was broken, suffering there alone; Broken then that mortals never need cry in vain, for God’s love and comfort, in the hour of pain.”

We Have an Anchor

We Have an Anchor

Hold on tight, don’t look down. Keep Your focus.

When you are in the middle of a storm, whether it be physical, mental or spiritual, our  Savior offers an anchor. Hold on to Him when you’re afraid. Keep your focus on Jesus. He will walk you through your storms, through your fears. When the night becomes dark and your thoughts go to the “what ifs”, go to Jesus, tell Him all your troubles. He will give you peace.

Lyrics by Priscilla J. Owens, arranged by William J. Kirkpatrick

“Will your anchor hold in the storms of life, when the clouds unfold their wings of strife? When the strong tides lift, and the cables strain, will your anchor drift, or firm remain?

It is safely moored, will the storm withstand, for its well secured by the Savior’s hand; And the cables, passed from His heart to mine, can defy that blast, through strength divine.

It will firmly hold in the straits of fear, when the breakers have told the reef is near; Though the tempest rave and the wild winds blow, not an angry wave shall our bark overflow.

When our eyes behold through the gathering night the city of gold, our harbor bright, we shall anchor fast by the heavenly shore, with the storms all past forevermore.

We have an anchor that keeps the soul steadfast and sure while the billows roll, fastened to the rock which cannot move. Grounded firm and deep in the Savior’s love.”

Anywhere With Jesus

Anywhere With Jesus

In a time of chaos and uncertainty, we need a guiding hand. Jesus is always that guiding hand. Our trust in Him will keep us safe and secure and we will never be alone. Even though we may have hard times, He provides a way out and points the way. His way is the only way that will lead us to our heavenly home.

Lyrics by William C. Poole, arranged by Charles H. Gabriel

“Anywhere with Jesus I can safely go, anywhere He leads me in this world below; Anywhere without Him dearest joys would fade; Anywhere with Jesus I am not afraid.

Anywhere with Jesus I am not alone; Other friends may fail me, He is still my own; Though His hand may lead me over dreary ways, anywhere with Jesus is a house of praise.

Anywhere with Jesus over land and sea, telling souls in darkness of salvation free; Ready as He summons me to go or stay, anywhere with Jesus when He points the way.

Anywhere with Jesus I can go to sleep, when the darkening shadows round about me creep; Knowing I shall waken never more to roam, anywhere with Jesus will be home, sweet home.

Anywhere! Anywhere! Fear I cannot know; Anywhere with Jesus I can safely go.”

Just When I Need Him Most

Just When I Need Him Most

Can you think of a time when you were hurting, depressed or just down on your luck and something happened to change it all around for you? I can think of several times when God showed up in just the right moment. “For we know that in all things God works for the good to those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28. I am blessed because of those last-minute moments.

Lyrics by William C. Poole, arranged by Charles H. Gabriel

“Just when I need Him, Jesus is near, just when I falter, just when I fear; Ready to help me, ready to cheer.

Just when I need Him, Jesus is true, never forsaking all the way through; Giving for burdens pleasures anew.

Just when I need Him, Jesus is strong, bearing my burdens all the day long; For all my sorrow giving a song.

Just when I need Him, He is my all, answering when upon Him I call; Tenderly watching lest I should fall.

Just when I need Him most, just when I need Him most, Just when I need Him most; Jesus is near to comfort, and cheer, just when I need Him most.”

Lord, I Hear of Showers of Blessing

Lord, I Hear of Showers of Blessing

No one wants to be left out. We all want to be part of something, whether it be family, a community, or a group of friends. What many people don’t realize is that they are part of being receivers of God’s blessings. God’s grace is in abundance and His mercy endures forever. We receive showers of blessings every day, and most people don’t recognize them. When someone smiles at us, it is a blessing. When God waters our gardens with rain. It is a blessing. When we get a day to ourselves or with our special friend. It is a blessing.

Lyrics by Elizabeth Conner, arranged by William B. Bradbury

“Lord, I hear of showers of blessing, Thou are scattering full and free, showers the thirsty land refreshing; Let some droppings fall on me.

Pass me not, O tender Savior! Let me love and cling to Thee; I am longing for Thy favor; While Thou are calling, O call me.

Pass me not, O mighty Spirit; Thou can make the blind to see; Witnesses of Jesus’ merit, speak the word of power to me.

Love of God, so pure and changeless; blood of Christ, so rich and free; Grace of God, so strong and boundless; Magnify them all in me.

Pass me not! Thy lost one bringing, bind my heart, O Lord, to Thee; While the streams of life are springing; blessing others, O bless me.

Even me, even me, Let thy blessing fall on me.”

I'll Live for Him

I’ll Live for Him

What does it mean to live for God? First we must acknowledge and accept that He gave up His one and only son to come to earth and die for us, to take away our sins. Then we must build a relationship with Jesus in order to go to heaven to be with the Trinity. To have a relationship with Jesus we must know what He says and how He lived so that we can be obedient to His words and live as He did, with love and compassion for all mankind. Get to know Him through the Bible and live accordingly, Repenting, Confessing and being baptized as Jesus did when He walked the earth.

Lyrics by Ralph E. Hudson, arranged by C.H. Dunbar

“My life, my love, I give to you, Thou Lamb of God who died for me; Oh, may I ever faithful be, my Savior and my God!

I now believe Thou does receive, for Thou has died that I might live; And now henceforth I’ll trust in Thee, my Savior and my God!

O Thou who died on Calvary, to save my soul and make me free, I’ll consecrate my life to Thee, my Savior and my God!

I’ll live for Him who died for me, how happy than my life shall be! I’ll live for Him who died for me, my Savior and my God!
