What
Will You do With Jesus?
If you had been at Jesus’ trial, what would you have
done? Would you have denied Him like Peter, would you have mocked Him and said
He must be guilty since He is on trial? Would you have stood by His side to the
bitter end like Mary. What would you do with Jesus? Jesus was perfect, there
was no sin in Him. His trial was so that He could be condemned so that He would
take away our sins. Would you deny Him or would you praise Him for loving you
so much?
Lyrics by Author Unknown, arranged by M. L. Stocks
“Jesus is standing in Pilate’s hall, friendless,
forsaken, betrayed by all; Hearken! What means the sudden call! What will you
do with Jesus?
Jesus is standing on trial still, you can be false to Him
if you will, you can be faithful through good or ill; What will you do with
Jesus?
Will you evade Him as Pilate tried? Or will you choose
Him, whatever betide? Vainly you struggle from Him to hide; What will you do
with Jesus?
Will you like Peter, your Lord deny? Or will you scorn
from His foes to fly. Daring for Jesus to live or die? What will you do with
Jesus?”
“Jesus, I give Thee my heart today! Jesus, I’ll follow
Thee all the way, Gladly obeying Thee!” will you say; “This will I do with
Jesus!”
What will you do with Jesus? Neutral you cannot be; Some
day your heart will be asking, “What will He do with me?”
