Pass
Me Not, O Gentle Savior
When and if we are raptured up, the last thing we want is
to be left behind. We sometimes wonder if God is too busy for us. It is a
comfort to know that God knows everything about us and hears every word we
think. He will not pass us by unless we don’t have a relationship with His Son,
Jesus. If we pass Him by in denying Him, then He will surely pass us by. Being
a child of God means we will meet Him at the throne of mercy, saved by His
grace.
Lyrics by Fanny J. Crosby, arranged by William H. Doane
“Pass me not, O gentle Savior, hear my humble cry; while
on others Thou are calling, do not pass me by.
Let me at a throne of mercy find a sweet relief, Kneeling
there in deep contrition. Help my unbelief.
Trusting only in Thy merit, would I seek Thy face; heal
my wounded, broken spirit. Save me by Thy grace.
Thou the spring of all my comfort, more than life to me,
whom have I on earth beside Thee? Whom in heaven but Thee?
Savior, Savior, hear my humble cry; while on others Thou
are calling, do not pass me by.”
