Fill Me Now
There are times when we find that we learn one lesson in
multiple ways. It is amazing how the Holy Spirit works in us to teach us what
we need to know. You may be studying God’s Word and receive a similar lesson
from the preacher the same morning or it may come up in a discussion you are
having. When we are struggling to get an answer over a dilemma or need
clarification, then when we ask God to send His Holy Spirit to teach us, He
will gather all the data He needs and present it to us many times over until we
learn what He wants us to know.
Lyrics by Elwood H. Stokes, arranged by John R. Sweney
“Hover o’er me, Holy Spirit, bathe my trembling heart and
brow; Fill me with Thy hallowed presence, come, o come and fill me now.
Thou canst fill me, gracious Spirit, though I cannot tell
Thee how; But I need Thee, greatly need Thee, come, o come and fill me now.
I am weakness, full of weakness, at Thy sacred feet I
bow; Blest, divine, eternal Spirit, fill with power and fill me now.
Cleanse and comfort, bless and save me, bathe, O bathe my
heart and brow; Thou are comforting and saving, thou are sweetly fill me now.
Fill me now, fill me now, Jesus, come and fill me now;
fill me with Thy hallowed presence, come, O come and fill me now.”
