Booting Up

Hello fellow bloggers;

 I don't know much about computers, other than I use one for different purposes. Last night I had a dream and in the dream, I was teaching a Bible class but I was reading off the back of a Computer book.  It was an instruction book and I could see that I was boring my student's.  So I put down the book and suggested we look at how our lives compares to a computer.  What little I know, is that it collects and stores data.  Comparatively we collect and store data in our brain.  When a computer gets overloaded with data, we get that dreadful blue screen.  From there we have to shut down and reboot.  In our life we can become so overwhelmed with all that we do in our life.  We not only hold jobs but we also have house cleaning to do, family to take care of, extra-curricular activities and most of all we strive to keep God as our number one focus.  When God is not first in our life, the rest can become chaotic and give us that overwhelming feeling of not being able to do one thing much less a multitude of other things.  That is when we need to unplug and reboot.  So, how do we do that?  First of all, take a deep breath (it really isn't all that hard).  Take time for yourself to relax, read a good book and just clear your thoughts for awhile.  Next, take stock of your priorities.  What is important, what is not.  How many hours do you spend honoring God.  Is your Bible open, ready to be read at any given moment.  Have you thanked God for your food today?  Have you counted your blessings?  After all, nothing you have belongs to you but the Giver of all things.  We owe it to God to thank Him. Once your focus returns to God and all that He has done for you, then our priorities become more clear and not only can we do one thing well, all the other things we do (that are important to do) will be so much easier to do.  Remember God is the Giver of life, let us live it to the fullest as God as our guide in our life.   Prayers to all my fellow believers!
