Four More Reasons to Forgive

 Ephesians 4:32 "And be ye kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you."

I John 2:9-11 "He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now. He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him. But he who hates his brother is in darkness and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes."

Matthew 18:21-22 "Then Peter came to him and said, Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times? Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven."

Luke 17, 3,4 "Take heed to yourselves if your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, I repent, you shall forgive him."

Matthew 22:39 "And the second is like it; you shall love your neighbor as yourself."

I Cor. 13:5 " Love does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil."

Acts 2:38 " Then Peter said to them, repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

Galatians 5:16 "I say then, walk in the Spirit and you shall fulfill the lust of the flesh."

2 Cor. 2:5-11 "But if anyone has caused grief, he has not grieved me, but all of you to some extent- not to be too severe. This punishment which was inflicted by the majority is sufficient for such a man, so that, on the contrary, you ought rather to forgive and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one be swallowed up with too much sorrow. Therefore, I urge you to reaffirm you love to him. For to this end, I also wrote, that I might put you to the test, whether you are obedient in all things. Now whom you forgive anything. I also forgive. For if indeed if I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven that one for your sakes in the presence of Christ, lest satan take advantage of us, for we are not ignorant of his devices."

5. We show we belong to Christ.

6. Devine forgiveness is unlimited and unending.

7. Forgiveness is tied to the second commandment.

8. Satan's poison is unforgiveness.
