Loving as God Loves You
Isn't it great that when God looks at us, he doesn't see
our inadequacies? He doesn't see our crooked teeth, wobbly legs, shaky hands.
He doesn't notice the scars on our body or the lisp in our speech. When he
looks at you and me, he sees something special, he sees our heart and the way
we look at each other. He told the disciples to go out and teach the nation and
to love others as Jesus loves us. Jesus lays no condition on His love for us.
We are His and He knows each of us by our name. He has called us to follow Him
and to reach out to others and bring them with us. We are the apple of God's
eye. We are blessed to be called His child. God gives us everything we need and
sometimes more than we asked for. He is our protector and provider. We fit into
the palm of His hand and he cradles us daily. He walks with us wherever we go
and if we listen we can hear His voice. He is interested in everything we do or
say. Take today that He has given to you and return it to him with much
gladness and joy. We are the caretakers of all that He has given to us, even
the people come into our lives. Let us not look at their fault but look to
their needs and love them as Jesus loves us.
