The Revelation of God in His Creation. Psalm 19

Psalm 19 – The Revelation of God in His Creation

Romans 1:20 says, “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.”

The New Testament tells us that the Lord Jesus was the agent of creation, and the Holy Spirit came in and refurbished and revamped it.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made.” John 1:1-3. This is the Lord. God the Father planned it, the Son paid for it, and the Holy Spirit protects it. Someday Jesus is coming in glory to this earth, but before He comes, He is going to take His church out of the world. He is the Bright and Morning Star.

God gave us the commandments. They are perfect. “Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.” The law was given to show us that we are sinners before God. The testimony of the Lord is sure. God is going to punish sin. He says that is what He is going to do. Judgment is coming. The statutes of the Lord are right. God determines what is right. This is His universe; He made it, and He made the rules. The commandment of the Lord is pure. It will enable you and lift you up. The fear of the Lord is clean. We do well to fear God. The fear of the Lord will clean you up. The judgments of the Lord are true. The Lord Jesus Christ is Truth. The judgments of the Lord are righteous. The ten commandments are wonderful; God says you cannot keep them because we are sinners. We must come as a sinner to God.

“Cleanse me from secret faults.” They are secret from themselves, those who think they are not sinners. The greatest transgression is the rejection of Jesus Christ, the One who is set before us.

O Lord, my strength, and my Redeemer.” He becomes that through the grace of God.
