A
Child of the King
Our God holds all the riches of heaven and earth. There
is none richer. Everything we own belongs to God. We would have nothing without
Him. Our Savior came down and became the poorest of poor, He lived as we did
and now He is in heaven asking the Father to pardon us so that He can adopt us
and bring us home with Him. When He does, we will be living among the rich in a
mansion prepared just for us. We are a child of God, and we can sing all glory
to God.
Lyrics by Harriet E. Buell, arranged by John B Summers
“My Father is rich in houses and lands; He hold the
wealth of the world in His hands! Of rubies and diamonds, of silver and gold,
His coffers are full, He has riches untold.
My Father’s own Son, the Savior of men, once wandered on
earth as the poorest of them; But now He is pleading our pardon on high, that
we may be His when He comes by and by.
I once was an outcast stranger on earth, a sinner by
choice, an alien by birth; But I’ve been adopted, my name’s written down, an
heir to a mansion, a robe, and a crown.
A tent or a cottage, why should I care? They’re building
a palace for me over there; Though exiled from home, yet still I may sing: All
glory to God, I’m a child of the King.
I’m a child of the King, a child of the king: with Jesus
my Savior I’m a child of the King.
