I My
Name Written There?
Sometimes we wonder if our name is written in the Book of
Life. What is it that we put first in our life, is it riches, money, family, or
our material possessions? Or are you putting God first and trusting God that your
name is written in His book? Each of us have many sins, some known, some
unknown but Jesus’s blood that He shed on the cross covers the sins of His
children. All our sins will be made like snow. Pure and clean. His mansion
awaits us, and the angels are watching. Be assured that if God is first in your
life and you love Him with all your heart, mind and soul, your name is written
in His book.
Lyrics by Mary A. Kidder, arranged by Frank M. Davis
“Lord, I care not for riches, neither silver nor gold; I
would make sure of heaven, I would enter His fold. In the book of Thy kingdom,
with its pages so fair, tell me, Jesus, my Savior, Is my name written there?
Lord, my sins they are many, like the sands of the sea,
but Thy blood, O my Savior, is sufficient for me; for Thy promise is written,
in bright letters that glow, “Thou your sins be as scarlet, I will make them
white as snow.”
Oh! That beautiful city, with its mansions of light, with
its glorified beings, in pure garments of white; Where no evil thing cometh to
despoil what is fair; where the angels are watching, yes, my name’s written
there.
Is my name written there, On the page white and fair? In
the book of Thy kingdom, Is my name written there?
