Just
As I Am
When we come to Jesus, we come as we are. We cannot come
to Him as perfect beings. We are flawed people and come with lots of baggage.
Jesus wants us to come as we are. He alone can take away our flaws and remove
our baggage. He alone can remove our
sins, our conflicts and doubts. Be not afraid to come to Jesus just as you are.
He will cleanse you and set you free.
Lyrics by Charlotte Elliott, arranged by William B.
Bradbury
“Just as I am, without one plea, but that thy blood was
shed for me, and that Thou bidd’st me come to Thee, O Lamb of God, I come! I
come!
Just as I am, and waiting not to rid my soul of one dark
blot, to Thee whose blood can cleanse each spot, O Lamb of God, I come! I come!
Just as I am, tho’ tossed about with many a conflict,
many a doubt, fightings and fears within, without, O Lamb of God, I come! I
come!
Just as I am, poor, wretched, blind, sight riches healing
of the mind. Yea, all I need is Thee to find. O Lamb of God, I come! I come!
Just as I am, Thou wilt receive, wilt welcome, pardon,
cleanse, relieve. Because Thy promise I believe. O Lamb of God, I come! I come!
