Adversity

Adversity

Matthew 10:16-39

There will be times of adversity. Times when people will curse you, abuse you, or speak unkind words to and about you. Do not retaliate but pray to God and ask Him to fight this battle for you.

Ask Him to give you the right words to speak and discernment to know when to speak and when to be silent. Some things we just need to walk away from. Other times we need to stand strong and hold on to God’s words. Don’t be fearful of people, whether they will hurt you or not. Put on the armor of God and He will shield you. If they kill your body, your soul is safe in God’s hands.

If you stand strong in God’s promises, your soul will be saved. If you do not stand strong in God, then fear Him, for He can kill not only the body, but your soul tool.

God tells us that we will have troubles, but we are not to be afraid because He promises that He will never leave us or forsake us. Hebrews 13:5. Let us not lean upon ourselves but lean on God and allow Him to fight our battles for us. His ways are always the better ways.

Just as He told the Israelites to be still and know that He is God, He tells us the same. Psalm 46:10.

We live in troubled times, but God is all powerful and He protects His own. He is stronger than the winds or any storm that comes our way. Trust Him and He will take care of us.

Please read the scriptures listed, study them, apply them to your life and grow in the saving relationship with Jesus Christ our Savior.
