Crime

Crime

Matthew 15:17-20

“Those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart and they defile a man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adultery, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies. These are the things which defile a man.”

Have you ever been told to “watch your tongue” or “think before you speak.”

Oftentimes when we speak we tell on ourselves. Of what our character is. Our negative words speak of a complainer or a depressed person. Our cussing speaks of a person who doesn’t think before he/she speaks. Some might consider that person an illiterate individual. Talking bad of others is considered a gossiper.

According to the scripture above, our words come from the heart and defile a man.

We need to guard or heart with thoughts that are “true, just, pure, lovely, of good report, if there be any virtue, if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:8. From this comes goodness and no crime will come from it.

Please read the scriptures listed, study them, apply them to your life and grow in the saving relationship with Jesus Christ our Savior.
