Afraid
Psalm 34:4,
Matthew 10:28, 2 Timothy 1:7, Hebrews 13:5,6
“The Lord
will deliver you from all your fears.” Psalm 3:4.
“God does
not give us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy
1:7
“The Lord is my helper, I will not fear. What can man do to
me?” Hebrews 13:5,6.
“Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul
but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both body and soul in hell.” Matthew
10:28
Being afraid can cause a fight or flight reaction. Take
thought to take a deep breath and slow down your adrenalin. Ask yourself where
the fear is coming from. We know it is not from God; therefore, it must be coming
from our own thought process. A person can talk their self into a panic attack.
That is by what-iffing. What if I get
sick? What if I embarrass myself or if I embarrass those around me. We must
turn that negative thinking into: What if I go and have a great time? What if I
am strong and keep my focus on what is around me and not on myself? Our thoughts
can either make us or break us, that is why God tells us to take every thought
captive. 2 Corinthians 10:5. Most anticipatory anxiety turns out to be nothing
at all, not what we expected. Now if there is a bull charging you, then panic,
that is the time to RUN!
Please read the scriptures listed, study them, apply them
to your life and grow in the saving relationship with Jesus Christ our Savior.
