Jerusalem
“Then I, John, saw the Holy City, New Jerusalem.”
Revelation 21:2
“And He carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high
mountain, and showed me the great city, the Holy Jerusalem, descending out of
heaven from God.” Revelation 21:10
This Holy city will be perfect. There will be no lies
told, no evil word, no shady business deal, no unclean picture. There will be
no jails, courtrooms, prisons, hospitals or funeral homes in heaven.
Dr. Criswell stated, “When Jesus died and rose again, His
old body wasn’t obliterated and recreated from scratch. The body that rose
again was the same that had died on the cross; but in the resurrection power it
was glorified, transformed, and fitted for eternity. Our bodies may decay to
dust, but God knows where every molecule has landed and somehow in His
omnipotent energy, the physical bodies we have now will be resurrected and
instantly glorified.”
We will no longer need eyewear, dentures, hearing aids,
walkers, wheelchairs or oxygen tanks. Our bodies will be the same, but perfect.
No more scars or injuries. Our bodies will be redeemed, restored, made new, not
thrown away. And so, it is with the heavens and the earth.
