Self-Respect
What kind of girlfriend or boyfriend do you want to be
for your date? How high have you set your standards? Consider the fact that God
is your Father and He has already set the standards for you. That is to be
pure, holy, and chaste in all ways. Your body is Gods temple. It is important
for us to strive to maintain purity. First and foremost, we must seek godly
mates. When that is done, God will provide the protection and blessings needed
in our relationships. Still, it is up to us to not let fleshly desires get in
the way of our need for true love. God is present when we keep Him there. When we
consider our wedding night, it should be considered as the first of many
nights. We don’t want to enter a relationship thinking, “been there, done
that.” It takes away the specialness of the day. Even if this is the second or
third marriage, don’t you think we owe it to our new spouse to do it right this
time. To make everything first, the first time he/she sees your body. The first
time we show our love to each other. When we chose the right mate, and we plan
our future together, it should be done with the choice of whether we want to
bring blessings or cursing’s into our marriage. Doing it God’s way is the only
way we will receive the blessings in our marriage. Any other way can only lead
to future problems that come our way but to start out with God, we will always
maintain the standards He sets for us, and we set for ourselves. Please don’t
cheapen the relationship by living worldly standards before marriage. God Bless
all those who are seeking a relationship. May it always stay within God’s will.
