Consecration

Romans 12:1,2

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:1,2

How do we present our body to God, to make it holy, acceptable to God? I believe it is in feeding our body both physical and spiritual food. Good, healthy choices in eating the right foods that maintain strong, healthy bodies. To keep our mind sound and fit to do whatever is asked of us. Junk food will only deplete our mind and body of our muscles and will make us old and wrinkly. Just like a daily reading of the Bible will keep our mind and body strong and healthy. Books or tv shows that are full of sex and cursing will cause our mind and body to go to dark places and will deplete our mind and body of strength and good health.

A good exercise routine is also necessary to keep our bodies in motion, to maintain enough oxygen to feed our brain. To live a docile life is to deplete our bodies of muscle strength and will weaken us to live a couch potato life. God says we are to go out in the world and preach the Word. Get out and walk and whoever you meet along the way, bless them with a blessing from God.

When we pray to God, Praise His name and worship Him we are not conforming to the world but we are renewing our mind to live a holy, acceptable life in the will of God.

Please read the scriptures listed, study them, apply them to your life and grow in the saving relationship with Jesus Christ our Savior.
