Diligence

Diligence

Romans 12:11, 20-21

“Bless those who persecute you, bless do not curse.” Romans 12:11

“Therefore, if your enemy is hungry, feed him, if he thirsts, give him drink: for in doing so you shall heap coals of fire on his head.” Romans 12:20-21

Heaping coals of fire suggests that by showing kindness and forgiveness to an enemy, you can cause them to feel shame or guilt for their actions, potentially prompting them to repent.

None of us are perfect and none of us will always agree with each other. There will be disputes. God tells us that if we want forgiveness for our sins, we must be willing to forgive others their trespasses.

“Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed by your name. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive others for their trespasses. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, power, glory. Amen.”

Please read the scriptures listed, study them, apply them to your life and grow in the saving relationship with Jesus Christ our Savior.
