Colossians 3:8-10
“But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger,
wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. Do not lie to one
another; since you have put off the old man with his deeds and have put on the
new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created
man.” Colossians 3:8-10
If you are a child of God there should be no room in your
life for all the things listed in these verses. We are to put God first in all
things and are to strive to please God above all others. Ask yourself, “what
would Jesus do?” His display in the temple was a righteous anger because the
people were in disobedience to God. There was no wrath, malice, blasphemy or
filthy language coming from His mouth. He is our example to live by. Our soul
should be as pure as it can be for Jesus.
Our character is built by how we live and present
ourselves to others. If you profess love to God, you must prove it to God by living
as Jesus lived.
Please read the scriptures listed, study
them, apply them to your life and grow in the saving relationship with Jesus
Christ our Savior.
