Thankful
Psalm 100, I Thessalonians 5:18, Hebrews
13:15
“Know that the Lord, He is God, it is He who has made us,
and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.” “Enter
into His gates with Thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful
to Him and bless His name. For the Lord is good, His mercy is everlasting, and
His truth endures to all generations.” Psalm 100:3-5
“In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God
in Christ Jesus for you.” I Thessalonians 5:18
“Therefore, by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice
of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name.”
Hebrews 13:15
Optimistic, positive people tend to have a thankful
heart.
Pessimistic, negative people tend to complain about
everything.
When God is in our life, our thankful heart can’t help
but praise Him, but how can we praise Him if our mind is full of pessimistic,
negative thoughts.
If we take a moment to consider all that God has done for
us, we will find that there is much more to be thankful for than there are to complain
about.
“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever
things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever
things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue
and if there is anything praiseworthy – think on these things.” Philippians 4:8
