Courage

Psalm 27:14

“Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say on the Lord!” Psalm 27:14

“But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31

Let’s look at what might need courage.

It takes courage to stand up for us, and for others. It takes courage to face the pains in our body or the pains in life. It takes courage to do something that frightens us or takes us out of our comfort zone. Courage is the willingness to act in obedience to God’s calling and purpose, relying on His strength and guidance. Courage is not with the absence of fear, but the willingness to act despite it.

What is the Lord asking you to do? God will not ask you to do something that He doesn’t think you can do. If He gives you a task or a purpose, He puts His faith and trust in you. In turn we must put our faith and trust in Him to see us through it. Be of good courage, He will never leave us to do something we can’t handle. Like Moses, He strengthens us and gives us the courage to carry out whatever He puts before us.
