Friends Fail
Psalm
41:9-13, Luke 17:3,4, Romans 12:14,17,19,21, 2nd. Timothy 4 :16-18
Throughout
our lifetime we acquire friends. Some friends are merely acquaintances, others
are the ones we trust and want to share everything with. Then there are friends
who stick with us throughout the good and the bad times.
Some friends
slowly fade out of our life, others leave us abruptly leaving us to wonder “Why”,
“what happened?”
When we trust
in God, we can truly say that God closes and opens doors. Things might not end
the way we want or expect but God has it all under control. When He closes one
door, we can be assured that there is always something better coming through
the next door He opens.
“By this I
know that You are well pleased with me, because my enemy does not triumph over
me. As for me You uphold me in my integrity and set me before You forever.
Psalm 41:11,12
“Bless those
who persecute you; bless and do not curse.” Romans 12:14. “Have regard for good
things in the sight of all men.” Romans 12:17
“Do not be
overcome by evil but overcome evil with good.” Romans 12:21
“At my first
defense no one stood with me, but all forsook me. May it not be charged against
them. But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me.” 2 Timothy 4:16-17
The only
friend we can truly rely on is our Lord Jesus Christ. He is and should be
everything to us and will never leave us. To Him be glory forever and ever!
Please
read the scriptures listed, study them, apply them to your life and grow in the
saving relationship with Jesus Christ our Savior.
