Sin
John 8:34-36
“Jesus answered them, most assuredly, I say to you,
whoever commits a sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the
house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore, if the Son makes you free, you
shall be free indeed.” John 8:34-36
A sin is an infraction against God’s Word. It could be a
sin of lying, stealing, gossiping, murder, adultery, idolatry or anything that
is not pleasing to God.
Whatever the sin is, it becomes our master, making us a
slave to sin. The slave of sin may not enter the kingdom of heaven unless one
repents and sins no more. The child of God, however, will live in God’s house
for eternity.
“For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God,
being justified by His grace through that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set
forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His
righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that
were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness,
that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.”
Romans 3:2-26.
We are all God’s creation, but we are not all God’s
children. If you have not committed yourself to God and believe in His Son
Jesus Christ, He offers his arms for you to repent of your sins and enter his kingdom.
Please read the scriptures listed, study
them, apply them to your life and grow in the saving relationship with Jesus
Christ our Savior.
