Purity
2 Timothy 2:22, Matthew 5:27-32
“Flee also youthful lusts, but pursue righteousness,
faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.” 2
Timothy 2:22.
“You shall not commit adultery, But I say to you that
whoever looks at a woman to lust for has already committed adultery with her in
his heart.” Matthew 5:28
When you find your mind, your eyes wandering down a path
where you know it shouldn’t go, it is better to take your attention elsewhere.
Even if it means to walk the opposite direction to get to where you might be
going.
We mustn’t let Satan occupy our minds with unwanted
thoughts that would cause us to sin. It is better to go out of our way to avoid
these temptations than it would be to fall into sin and condemn ourselves to
hell.
If you are caught in a situation that seems impossible to
get out, God is the Father of impossibilities. Nothing is impossible for Him
and He will show you the way out. Reach out to Him, He will mend your
relationship with your spouse and will destroy the relationship that you should
not be in.
Many temptations look pleasant to the eye but in the end
will lead to destruction. Pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace. Stay in
tuned with God and keep yourself pure.
Please read the scriptures listed, study
them, apply them to your life and grow in the saving relationship with Jesus
Christ our Savior.
