Kindness
Colossians 3:12,13
“Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on
tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, long-suffering, bearing with one
another, if anyone has a complaint against another, even as Christ forgave you,
so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond
of perfection.” Colossians 3:12,13
Oh, to be perfect, to live to be as God desires us to live.
This scripture tells us what God expects of His children. The hardest of these
to me are the
long-suffering, bearing with one another and forgiving. None
of those are easy to accomplish, but when I think of how patient God is with me
and how He bears with my poor decisions or actions, and how He has forgiven me
of all my sins and continues to do all these things, I remember He does it out
of a great Love for me. It makes it so much easier for me to be patient, loving
and forgiving of those God puts in my pathway.
We must remember that if we are to be Christ-like, then
we are to be kind to one another, have humility and not think ourselves better
than anyone else, be meek in our understanding, be patient with those who need
us to be patient with them, bearing their burdens and forgiving those who have
wronged us. Most of all we must Love each other and live as Jesus wants us to
live.
Please read the scriptures listed, study
them, apply them to your life and grow in the saving relationship with Jesus
Christ our Savior.
