Prayer
Luke 11, 1-13, Ephesians 6:18
“Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name, Your
kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our
daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And do not
lead us into temptation but deliver us from the evil one.” Ephesians 11:2-4
“Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the
Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for
all saints.
Prayer is a conversation with God. It is not a ritual
which must be done on our knees or in any certain place. It is a face-to-face
talk with God and can be done anywhere, at any time, night or day. He is in all
places and can be seen in all creations. We do not worship the creations but
the Creator. God hears our every prayer.
Supplication is an earnest and humble plea to God made
from the heart. It is to state a need or a plea for help in a stressful time. It
is a time we are asking for favor or grace from God. We must lay our prayers at
Jesus’ feet and humbly walk away, knowing God will answer our prayer and see to
our every need.
If you haven’t been talking to God, He is waiting for you
and wants to hear from you. No one is unworthy of God’s listening ear. He loves
you and wants to be near you. Give it a try and watch what God does for you.
Please read the scriptures listed, study
them, apply them to your life and grow in the saving relationship with Jesus
Christ our Savior.
