Honor
Parents, Others
Ephesians 6:1-3, I Peter 2:17
“Children obey your parents in the Lord, because this is
right. Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a
promise, so that it may go well with you and that you may have a long life in
the land.” Ephesians 6:1-3
“Honor everyone. Love the brothers and sisters, but as
God’s slaves.”
I Peter 2:17
Loving others as God’s slaves means acting with a sincere
heart and obedience, not just out of fear or for appearance, but because it
aligns with God’s will.
Christians are servants of the Lord. Bought with a price
on the cross by Savior Himself. He has bought us from the cruel masters of sin
and death.
Being respectful toward our parents and each other shows
respect for God. He created us and wants us to live in harmony with one
another. Let us strive to be more kind, tenderhearted and more loving toward our
parents and our brothers and sisters.
Please read the scriptures listed, study
them, apply them to your life and grow in the saving relationship with Jesus
Christ our Savior.
